Wild Hearts! Is it a good GAME? Yes! is it a good Product? No.

If you have missed the last few decades due to hibernating in some warm cozy cave I would recommend that you turn around and hibernate for a bit longer.
Wild Hearts continues the recent tradition of incomplete games being released for full price with the unspoken promise that all of the game's issues will be fixed soon™.
While the Game (Gameplay) is fun, mostly fast-paced, action packed and innovative, the product (technical and contextual) is lacking, it suffers from a slew of technical aspects which causes a lot of players grief especially considering the price tag. I do not recommend anyone that minds horrible framerates to buy this game in its current state, I do however recommend that you give it a chance if they fix the technical aspects and if you can't wait to play it I recommend doing so first via EA Play* (if you are already using it) where you get to try out 10-hours of playtime.

In the following segments I will go a bit more into detail regarding what the game is
how it is innovative
who might enjoy the game
and lastly the problems and my critique
There will be general information but nothing that should spoil specifics.

What is Wild Hearts?
Wild Hearts is a 3D third person single-/multiplayer action-adventure boss hunting game. Players get to pick between a variety of weapons with unique movesets that they can use to go into areas and hunt boss-like monsters to collect materials and improve their equipment. The areas are open, partially multi-layered, allow for a lot of freedom of movement and usually host a variety of monsters even when you go out to hunt a specific boss-monster. This is accompanied by a light campaign, where you have to go out and hunt specific boss-monsters after which you will then be introduced to more enemies or areas. The Challenge in Wild Hearts comes from the enemy difficulty and variety in move-sets that players have to learn and react to, to overcome enemies.

How Wild Hearts innovates:
While the gameplay loop works and is nothing new to people that play monster hunter and similar games Wild hearts optimized a lot of things that new players to the monster hunter series might have found tedious. Healing items don't have to be prepared anymore and can be picked up throughout levels. Movement and fighting are very unique in wild hearts as the player unlocks building blocks which can be deployed during and outside of fights to assist them These building blocks can be combined in specific combinations to activate bigger contraptions that usually have a specific effect. In addition the game supplies players with unique contraptions that can be placed throughout the level and do not disappear after a hunt, this includes zip-lines massive fans, radar towers, tents and more. Using the building blocks during combat assists greatly and while it is not technically necessary to utilize them, they are very fun to use. After defeating a monster you will be rewarded with materials directly and stay within the level to continue hunting if you choose so. At any time you can fast-travel to the campsites you have placed in the level which allows you to strategize and prepare for a specific hunt or in general. The upgrade tree for weapons is fairly light but becomes more complex because unlike a linear or linear-branched tree Wild Hearts weapon upgrades allow you to move down a net, allowing you to side-grade and downgrade to add specific bonuses to the weapon of which each weapon can hold a set amount.

Who might enjoy this game
If you enjoy bossfights, fast movement and challenges you might like this game. If you like Monster Hunter you will most likely like this game. If you enjoy nice visuals and cool level design, including a bit of exploration you would like this game BUT you won't due to the graphical issues which i will talk about now!

The Problems and my Critique
If you play Wild Hearts, be prepared for the framerate to drop harder than me after working for 12 hours. Wild Heart suffers from severe framerate drops which destroy the appealing visuals of the game, can disrupt combat slightly and according to the people I asked make Multiplayer a nightmare (i do not have any personal experience with this). These framerate issues are even more pronounced in areas where it is snowing or raining. It is the main issue of the game and in my opinion a good reason why people should hold off buying it. An additional warning towards anyone that uses Bluetooth Headsets, Wild Heart doesn't like Bluetooth Headsets, expect some issues when using it.
While Wild Hearts is generally fun it does suffer from the same issues that similar games suffer from. The enemy variety is limited and while the redesigns of existing monsters also often feature movesets that are very different from the originals be prepared to see similar looking monsters throughout the game. Lastly expect to grind if you want to upgrade and armor sets, this isn't excessive as you can mix and match armor throughout the game but if you want to complete a specific armor set please be prepared to hunt the exact same boss monster a few times.

Conclusion:
I use this segment to make a final statement and then talk about something entirely different.
Wild Hearts, as stated above is a fun Game, you shouldn't buy it though as it hasn't been fixed to a degree where i would have advocated for its publication. Do not buy unfinished titles that are released as complete! (Yes, I am aware that I did exactly that)
Completely unrelated, are you familiar with the Korean Company Lotte? They do Hotels, Chemicals and even candy! Now cool thing though, for certain events they make deals with musicians and bands to produce music for their chocolate products and I quite like those songs, if you don't believe me check out Heart Forecast bye Eve or type Lotte Bump of Chicken into Youtube and check it out, visually and musically cool stuff!

Okay, bye now, I am gonna hide in my pile of pillows, have a great day and be nice to yourself :)

*I would like to briefly mention that I am not a big fan of programs like EA Play. While I appreciate it as a way for more people to try out I find EA a difficult company to like and prefer digital ownership over subscription models.
