Maybe this will one day be a good game like world, but doesn't look likely.

Worth it.

Bruh moment devs.

Yes, there are still some bugs. That being said, It's still very very fun and scratches that For The King itch in a whole new way. The new random encounters are nice and even the old ones have had some twists put in them.

Only real issue that has been a bother is the chaos encounters in chapter 1. They dont give any items or XP so you kinda feel robbed for those.

Don't have time to review. I have to get back to playing.

I've never played a duke nukem game and went into this without knowing basically anything but the funny one-liners. The first 30 minutes or so was awesome, then everything after sucked. The Alien Queen boss was pretty funny I guess. The car segments are worse than Fortnite save the world. Game plays it's whole hand at the beginning and brings nothing after.

I would say this game is worth a play. It's story is really what carries it completely as it's so very passionate about the source material. The game is presented to you through the eyes of a man in a wheelchair looking off his balcony, he is powerless to interact with the world around him. He also is someone that starts almost entirely opposed to the message the game is telling, he is a grumpy annoyed old cop who wants to be left alone and judge people from up above. Even still, with enough evidence and observation he begins to understand and see the world around him. He doesn't fully get everything by the end and has his reservations, but I personally like that part as it shows that maybe for us to spark societal or political change we need to get some people we don't really like onto our side, something I think our current society struggles with understanding as we often like to take the nuclear polarizing option. That is what I liked about the game/story, I would go as far as to say this is the kind of material I'd like to see used to educate children in school. Now what isn't so great is the visual presentation. The character portraits of the townsfolk are pretty ugly, very polygonal but not quite achieving the low-poly look of something like "For the King", the waiter or rabbit character being the worst offenders. The animations and pathfinding are pretty bad, they look like The Sims moving around in the early games. The gameplay is pretty uninspired, just click on the interact points. There are a couple of puzzle-like parts matching evidence but they aren't really puzzles as you have no time limit, no limited tries, and the game tells you if you got any part wrong instantly. Nevertheless, they should be included as-is because they do make sure the player understands the events of the day. It's was good to play, not mind blowing but still very interesting and with many moving parts.

Cute game. My only wish was that some side characters and story paths were expanded upon even more.
