"Sturges? Tell her."

It's an alright Fallout game, but yeah... Bethesda. Bugs galore. Wish they'd either make a new engine that actually works properly, or put in a lot more effort to fix bugs, whichever works best... but let's face it, that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

If you really want to buy it, get it on sale, and be prepared to hunt down fixes for the graphical glitches that still tend to happen more commonly on machines with AMD graphics.

The most frustrating thing for me (so far) was the rainbow noise textures; first time, they covered everything - turned AA down a notch, and they disappeared, only to reappear on a smaller scale a few hours later (when I was at about 10.8 hours in, at which point I didn't feel like faffing about with settings, and just decided to take a break).

And of course, some places in the game tend to get really low-res textures up close when you first get to them, to the point where you need to reload the game (though that is neither a guaranteed nor permanent fix).

Update: I have now gone through the process of manually optimizing the textures (yes, manually, since in this case, automating the process = copyright violation).
It took me a while, and I don't really think it is worth that much hassle, but it works.

Really, since you kinda have to go through that with AMD graphics, I recommend it even less now.

Update 2: Turns out the manual optimization does nothing for the rainbow noise stuff, so yeah... unless you have a computer with nVidia card, or can afford getting one, don't bother with this game.
