A huge step for the Arma franchise. Its a little light on gameplay at the moment, but with the game's history of community driven content, you just have to give it time. Not to mention that Bohemia seem to be maintaining a steady update schedule, something I wasn't expecting considering that they're still doing the same for Arma 3. One of favorite game series of all time and this is yet another solid entry. The crossplay adds good and bad, a huge player base, the tradeoff being worse desync than Ive seen in years in this game. Still very playable just make sure you have a low ping.

A classic. A part of my childhood. So I guess I'm biased but still a great game.

Let me start by saying that this is my favorite game of all time. It played a huge part in my teenage years, and I've never stopped playing it almost a decade later.... until now. This once great game is being willfully ran into the ground by its creators. Gone down a path that started in the end of Global Offensive and seems to have taken over the game COMPLETELY, micro-transactions. With the most recent "Major Update" adding a paid only battle pass instead of addressing one of the dozens of issues that have been present since launch. They refuse to add new content, or even bring back the content that was ALREADY in the game in GO and was removed during the swap to "CS2". I put "CS2" in quotes bc this sequel, one YEAR into release, is nothing more than a UI and graphics overhaul which is mostly due to the port to Source 2 which was supposed to happen SEVERAL YEARS prior.

It has become abundantly clear that Valve is testing how little they can improve and maintain... no, how much WORSE they can make their game and still making profit. They give absolute zero thought to the long time fans who just want to play counter strike, and are trying to produce a shiny money pit. Years I've played this game, never have I been so disappointed. Never have I had so much doubt for Valve. They had a great reputation in the gaming industry, pioneers, leaders, they were a company FOR the people. A company literally built around its community of gamers. And while Steam maintains this in general, I cant believe that they would allow this counter strike division to keep this game in such a poor state for so long. I cant believe theyd allow them to spit in the community's face with this update. We dont ask for more skins, we know more skins will always come, we need content. CACHE, TRAIN, COBBLESTONE, A USABLE ANTI CHEAT, GAME MODES, A SERVER BROWSER THAT WORKS, A NEW SEASON OF PREMIER, A DECENT NETWORKING/HITREG SYSTEM... they took everything good about the game, and made it bad.

"Literally the best game I've ever played. I've logged over 1,000 hours and I still can't get enough of this round based first person shooter. While the hit-boxes may be weak but the gameplay is strong!

Edit: Almost 5000 hours. This game has taken control of my life. I dream about cs. Please help me."
