This is just amazing! I love it, highly recommend! Absolute best DLC for a game ever. It's so fun fighting wars at sea!

In only 7 hours of play (at least in the full game, I played the demo for many hours), this game absolutely hooked me. It is so incredible. It is well made, feels so far like a finished game, and there is just so much to do. I was surprised though, that even with how tedious some tasks can be (like packaging or planting in the early game), it is still so addicting. I simply cannot stop playing this game, I enjoy it so much. I just unlocked meth production last night, cannot wait to get started.

Yes, I understand the irony of being addicted to a game about drugs.

As the developers said: "This is the time for builders," and indeed it is! Building in this game feels like a nice, breath of fresh air over Space Engineers 1 building, though don't get me wrong, Space Engineers is, and will continue to be a good game (even the developers said it will continue development). Many things are not yet functional. There's no oxygen system, no multiplayer, there's only one* weapon, the Gatling gun, but it doesn't work (there is the debug gun through, very fun to mess around with and see the destruction). The doors don't even close, they're just permanently open. However, this is an early alpha, and honestly it doesn't matter right now, I'm having fun just building like I never have before in any other game. If you are a builder, I highly recommend joining in on the fun! If you aren't, don't worry. Your time is coming soon!

Only 5 hours of looking around in this game, and I'm blown away! It has given me a new perspective, no matter how far I zoom out, I don't come close to the edge of the universe. Even ignoring the procedurally generated content, you can spend billions of years just exploring the objects that are real, and find so many incredible things! Things you could never imagine. The scale is unprecedented, cannot be matched!

Traveling at 326 MILLION LIGHT YEARS PER SECOND, with TRILLIONS upon TRILLIONS of universes passing by every second at that speed, and yet, no end in sight, and I could probably do that for lifetimes and not even get close to reaching the edge.

I've been taking very high resolution screenshots to use as my background on my computer, I've set it to swap every 10 minutes. I already have an insane number of these screen shots, each measuring 10,318 pixels by 4,320 pixels, or 8k resolution at 43:18 aspect ratio (ultrawide)

I'm changing my review to positive, as Sony is walking back their decision. This game is very fun, maybe I will return to it one day soon. Below, I have quoted my old review, back when Sony was ruining everything, which I'm sure they will return to sometime in the near future, but for now, peace has been restored.

Begin quote -
"What do I say? Sony. Sony, Sony, Sony. Why? Why did you decide to lock out over 100 countries, and force the few who can still play to sign up for an account that is infamous for data and security breaches? Why did you ruin the game that was was declared Game of the year the DAY it released? This game will be studied moving forward, on how, in a matter of hours, the most loved game in nearly a decade has become one of the most hated.

Now. No, you cannot use a VPN to keep playing this game, many people have been banned for that already, so no, the 170 (I think) countries that were locked out cannot do that, if it's even legal for some of them. In addition, even more countries, such as Ukraine were locked out, as, though PSN is available in Ukraine, it is PlayStation exclusive, so more players are locked out. This was terrible. This was a massacre.

The game worked fine without it for months, and the requirement for it was never ever announced, and there was a skip button when you first started playing the game. Sony secretly updated their webpage to say it was required, AFTER the UNANNOUNCED requirement went into affect. We were lied to. We were misled. Sony will pay, especially on those who cannot play even if they wanted to sign up for PSN." - End quote.

Many people were excited for this DLC. I wasn't, but hey. If you have low expectations (and I have really low expectations for Geometa), then you won't be disappointed right? Well, how did we go wrong here? How did my rock bottom expectations, result in disappointment? I have no clue. But I'll try to explain I guess. So this DLC promised mining, a huge island, animals with great AI, and more stuff. But, it's all disappointing (at least I have a massive desert island with resources to engage in middle-eastern style wars, though). First thing that caught my eye, is that the animals are only apart of this DLC. You have to buy the DLC, to get the horses, bears, and dogs, and deer, among others. The deer and bears aren't even in the desert, from what I'm aware, and they don't have any industrial application in this DLC. The dogs are also really lame. The AI really was a disappointment though, it's still stupid, it's still robotic, and it's still lifeless. At least they aren't immortal now, though. Also, this DLC is better called the "Mining Frontier". While mining is important in industry, the main aspects of ALL 4 industrial revolutions was production. It would have been awesome to build production facilities that take the minerals, and turn them into products. Don't get me wrong, this still happens, but you don't get to build it. Your only task is to mine, and transport the minerals and products. It would have also been awesome, albeit potentially infeasible, if the minerals could be produced into vehicles, which would have made assembly lines in this game make sense. That would have been awesome, but it wasn't even considered. Don't get me wrong, however. Making vehicles to mine and transport can be fun, and there should definitely be preset refineries, as some may just want to mine and transport, but it can be a bit slow, and tedious. And multiplayer is unplayable, so good luck getting your friends to help. The only thing I use this DLC for anymore is the desert. That's all. I'm going to use it for military vehicles, and that's it. Not worth 10 bucks, though. If you are going to get it, get it on sale. Yet another disappointment from Geometa, and somehow I have set my bar even lower. Didn't know that was possible. Good evening everyone.

This game is awful! Progression is way too slow, the game's match system is awful (it puts you up against much more powerful planes), it has many options for getting better THROUGH REAL WORLD MONEY. This game was designed to be so hard to progress normally that it will make you PAY TO WIN, THIS GAME IS PAY TO WIN. THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN A GAME. A GAME SHOULD NEVER BE PAY TO WIN. And apparently Ace Combat 7 skills don't carry over (i'm not talking about the fact that there are no missiles early on, I'm talking about how the aircraft are controlled.)

Interesting concept, but it is in the World of (tanks, warplanes, warships, etc) style, and isn't that great.

This game will eat your soul out. Especially if you really try to become a good builder. The bugs are so very annoying, nothing is balanced how it should be. The game never gets many bug fixes, instead you get twice the amount of bugs added that they fixed, and the devs are just so incompetent. The game is not well optimized at all, and it never will be. I have never seen a game with just simple graphics be so laggy at times.
