Solid Metroidvania. For 50% off at the time of this review, this game is a no-brainer to pick up and beat if you like metroidvanias. It's about 7-12 hours long depending on how fast you fly through it, I had fun until the end.

Pros:
- Movement feels fantastic, I found it similar to Prince of Persia the Lost Crown. Just dashing around the levels felt good.
- Great boss fights with good mechanics.
- Beautiful environments.
- Decent combat, the weapons felt fun to use. The down attack abilities were definitely a highlight.
- The powerup/upgrade tetris mini-game was funny and interesting.
- You really get the power creep feeling at the end of the game if you play tetris upgrades of the same colors correctly, at the end you end up with a ton of HP, blasting ranged spears with the right stick and a strong hp regen. It's shows good progression from weak to strong.

Cons:
- The soundtrack left a bit to be desired, I actually thought the music was a little too low volume compared to the character sounds.
- The game could've used some more ambience.
- I ran into some bugs with Xynexis's mind as well as not being able to submit the Synapsis side-quest.
- The currency was all pretty useless, there wasn't much to buy and there's too many currencies.

Blown away by the negative reviews for this game. The Last Faith is better than 95% of metroidvanias on Steam. It's as good as games like Blasphemous, I liked it so much I went for 100%.

If this game looks interesting to you and you're not sure whether you should get it. It's definitely worth it, it's not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be (outside of 2 bosses). It's a solid game.

There's 50 games, I've only played about 27 and I already love like 12 of them and beat 6. Insane value for it's cost.

This is a no-brainer for anyone who likes updated NES/SNES games with modern quality of life improvements.

Edit: Im 50 hours in and i still havent played 18 of the games and ive beaten about 19 of them. Insane value and quality especially for the low price.

I don’t know what some of these people are smoking but this is legitimately Elden Ring 2. Its incredible.

It's a pretty solid game. I think this game deserves a Very positive instead of mixed. Overall, I recommend buying it on a sale, it's still a great game.

I personally didn't run into any performance issues, but I did have some funny umbral graphical glitches that weren't game breaking.

It's not perfect and they're a few very obvious baffling decisions that were made that make the game, especially the beginning, such a chore to play and not as enjoyable.

When I first started this game, I wasn't super into it. The more I played the better this game gets in just about everything from areas, to enemies, to level design and bosses. To the point where I was excited to fire it up to play before bed.

Somethings I wish would be changed.
- The beginning bosses are way overtuned marathons. Especially the flesh, it takes like 40+ hits to kill him and he takes 3/4+ of your hp in a single hit and you have 3 heals that don't heal much of your HP. It felt stupid because he isn't hard just brokenly overtuned.
- The umbral timer didn't add any feelings of anxiety, I just found it annoying having to sprint to a thing to get out of umbral because they red guy never actually catches you anyway. There shouldn't be a timer.
- Putting mini bosses as enemies directly after the mini boss was pretty cheap and silly. Some of these enemies were put into weird spots that just made them flatout annoying, like the fire witch thing in lower Calrath after the mini-boss version.

If you like Donkey Kong games, you'll love this.
