qud is finally getting its 1.0 release! wahoo!!!!

simply put it's among my favorite games of all time for its depth and its world generation and its emergent storytelling and its regular storytelling also. truly a game one could play infinity of

you could have a dozen arms each with an axe that has a chance of dismembering your target's limbs or head(s) on a successful hit. you can make a funny little mutant guy with a normal amount of arms. or too many legs. you can shoot slime out of your body to make your enemies slippery. you can grow wings and become some kind of bird. you can get robot wings and become some kind of robot bird. you can chop up gross fascists with swords. you can hit a Dune-esque sand worm really really hard with a club.
