I have excitedly waited for this DLC since its announcement and I was not disappointed.

More lambs, more areas, more weapons, SO MANY MORE follower forms. What a wonderful addition to already one of my most beloved games. I really enjoyed the difficulty curve with the new enemies and their patterns being a lot more unpredictable, some even dodging attacks or having secondary phases. (I do sort of wish the whole cast of enemies throughout the game had that layer of complexity but i digress.) Winter is definitely a fun addition to the cult part, which I didn't find made anything too inconvenient.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Expanding on the lambs further with Yngya as the god of lambs was a great way to see a wider scope of what once was before your character was the last lamb. The designs as always are wonderful. Marchosias and Yngya's boss form (and general appearance) are so good.

I appreciated that we got some loose ends tied with other characters like the executionner, who can be redeemed of what she did. Also fun that there are new characters, brothers/sisters or family members revealed for previous NPCs. Makes the whole world you play in this much more fun.

My only gripe in this story is I thought you had a chocie in facing Marchosias or Yngya before. Perhaps changing the perspective of the wolf leader if you fought the goddess first, etc. Part of me would've liked to have a choice in that matter, since the rot is something you can go with or against. Nonetheless, I still found it a nice twist, but understandable, that Marchosias would rather die, even by his own hands, than to be indoctrinated by a god. I was caught off guard!

All and all, wholly worth, especially considering this is their first ever paid DLC while they have given the game many many free expansions with optional cosmetic purchases to support the releases.

Closing note: I hate Midas, he deserves nothing but pain.

Putting the otimization issues from launch aside, which are not, by any means, excusable... This game slaps.

-----------------

I am not a veteran of the franchise, I have only got into it with World and the Iceborne DLC around end of last year; I got hooked easily. The gameplay loop is just really addictive and I understand what people love about the MH games.

Wilds definitely enhanced my experience by making everything more badass, satisfying, CRUNCHY and making every weapon even more versatile and fun to use. Not only that, but every weapon you craft feels a lot more personalized than what I saw in World right off the bat. (Not just the base sword with a piece of monster slapped on top)

The music is phenomenal, hands down. Just the menu music feels so whimsical, and full of wonder. It really makes you want to go on an adventure and what better way but to cut the constant loading screens between areas and just- GO THERE on your trusty mount.

Roaming around is outright fun and borders on relaxing. The game has really beautiful set pieces, and makes you want to find out more. Thank god we have a mount...

You can pet your Seikret so... Peak game.

The story is more compelling this time around I find. Probably helps that you have characters that have more to them, actual names, and that you, the hunter, also have a place in that dialog rather than sit there and stare at others speaking for you. Makes you feel less like a caveman that only knows how to hit things good.

Alright. Enough glazing. Some nit picks.

Customization is banger, but I really wish Capcom didnt put character edit behind a paywall. Come on.

Getting to play with your friends is kind of a mess? Requires so many hoops that feel unnecessary and some functions just don't work well.

Minimum and recommended settings for performance are extremely misleading. I cannot imagine anyone being able to smoothly run this on a 2060. I sure couldn't and that's why I now have a 4070, i7, 32GB RAM... And yet still have some frame drops at high settings (not even ultra) but gladly, it hasn't really hindered my enjoyment that much. But I can't ignore it.

And finally. Fart monkey. Delete it.

[ Might edit later, once I'm deeper in the game ]

-----------------

- Awesome game
- I feel powerful
- Can pet Seikret
- Wack technical issues

8.5/10

Dropping frames (Due to the sheer amount of procs on the screen) never felt this good.

Easily one of my favourite Klei games ever released, and it's only in early access!

Pleasantly challenging, the different weapons have varied move-sets that are satisfying to hit, and as usual, the art style is absolutely stellar, the music is charming to listen to.

Can't wait to see more. Hopefully more critters to be and a few other weapon choices!

Phasmophobia is definitely a game that I highly enjoy as a whole. I'm making this review having played early on and recently now. I don't bank THAT many hours but hey, I still have an opinion!

POSITIVES: I often give the comparison to my friends that this game is essentially going through a haunted house on halloween night with your buddies. I don't take it seriously, I love to goof off and having people in the group pull out additional scares on unsuspecting friends when playing.

It's a great party game, and overall, co-op horror games are just a very approachable method to get into scary games as a whole! I kind of appreciate that the jank of the characters and their movements have remained these few years of the game's life. I hope they never change that. It's a very endearing element I feel just became a beloved aspect. (I know it is for me)

Things like proximity chat, the global radio that can become a dud when a haunt happens, the much improved ghost voices, interactions and whatnot. It gives a nice vibe to get yourself spooked just enough in-between your silly friend banter when you have your guard down.

-----

NEGATIVES: Although, I have my gripes... Not with the game since launch, but the game now VS launch... There has been really odd changes that I don't agree with and I find it has made what was a pretty flawlessly funny experience kind of annoying.

I get that adding some progression to the game is cool. That's fine! Unlocking some of the more fancy, non essential gear, is okay as a whole. But the fact that a decision was made to reset everyone's progression, and be handed gear that works inconsistently on purpose (With the excuse that its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear), making figuring out the 24 types of ghost inherently harder is pretty abysmal to me. It makes it less about just having fun and now requires to grind for some reason!

The new shop system is also an absolute nightmare to understand. (it looks nice and fancy though!) I had hours into the game and I was confused, let alone friends of mine who never touched the game before.

I've seen that I'm not the only one in reviews with exactly those complaints!

-----

OVERALL THOUGH... I will still recommend this game, because despite these elements above, the experience as a whole is just a whole lot of fun. I just REALLY hope they don't push deeper with weird practices that somehow make it less about joking around, scaring yourself and friends and getting choked by an angry ghost.

Absolutely charming in every way. Albeit being a relatively short experience, the world is fun to explore, the characters are adorable and have a fun sense of humour to boot! The game filled me with childhood nostalgia and my nerd heart with more desire to go larp with friends next summer!

I've been on the lookout for this game for while now through their socials and I was thrilled to finally play it. I would highly recommend if you want a laid back experience and just want a nice few hours of careless fun with no big world ending stakes, just good vibes all around!

Love it

I've been excited for this game since it was first announced, and I am absolutely delighted with what came of it.

The artstyle being so well stylised and a deceitful kind of cute yet unsettling, the gameplay mixing a handful of things and a satisfying fighting system, the soundtrack having such a cool vibe to it, everything just works! It's been a while since a game made me so giddy through every second of its playtime. I really couldn't of asked for more, I feel blessed this game has been made!

Time to try and 100% it now! :)

Having played since the early access, SAR is a lovely game if you've been looking for a more casual iteration of the battle royale genre. The game offers you a really fast paced, easy to pick up, enjoyable experience to play with your squad of friends along with a wide variety of cutesy animals to fight on the battlefield with!

The free version of the game allows any new player to dip their toes in the game and see if they like it or not. Cosmetics are limited under that edition of the game but it gives you a good idea of what the game before you'd like to actually buy the full version. I definitely recommend giving it a go if you haven't!

I've been waiting for this game for a bit since a friend of mine told me about it. I was really excited and as soon as it came out on early access, I bought it and tried it. I think it's already really promising, the esthetics are cute and very stylized, the concept of the game itself is simple but really lovely. It's sometimes the most simple things that are the best. I need to hop back into it and play more, I am very excited to try the other modes and I'm hoping to see more possibilities of customization for characters, it's always a plus on my end! I might have encountered little bugs with the controller where it sometimes switched to keyboard controls but that could be my own device that does that. But that's not gonna stop me from playing. Overall, I'd recommend to try it out, it's very fun and playing with friends definitely will add to it!
