Easily the best game I've ever played. Building a base with my friend has been super fun!

We've played over 500 hours in the Epic version, and will now play another 500 hours here on Steam :)

What a fun awesome game - easily one of the best VR and rhythm games. And there's a ton of extra songs and other mods thanks to a big community.

Wow! One of the best and unique VR "games" I've ever played. It's hard to clasify what this is. It's not quite a game but it's not really a movie either. The best way to describe it is that it's like a non-interactive Holodeck Novel (from Star Trek). The "movie" plays out around you between the different characters regardless of what room you're in. If you follow one character around the house, you'll miss what other characters are doing at the same time.

As for the "gameplay", you can pause, rewind, and fast-forward through the story. You can teleport around the house. And there's also a useful map and timeline to keep track of where people are when

The story is really good! I had no idea who did it until the end - I won't spoil anything here though. I started out mostly following Gustav, the detective, around the house; which gave a good backdrop to the main story (i.e. figuring out who murdered Tesla). But you'll definately want to see what other characters are up to in other areas of the house in order to get the full experience. There were many times where a character's actions either didn't make sense, or took on an entirely different meaning, once I had gone back and seen a previous scene that I had missed before.

There's also a number of achievements and collectibles to find, if you like that sort of thing. I'd recommend trying to look for most of the collectibles because they do add important background information; these would be various letters, newspaper articles, and Tesla's diaries scattered around. They're mostly not too hard to find.

My only negative is about the graphics. Some movement seems a little stiff and it can look a little awkward when characters interact with objects. And facial animations aren't so great. Make sure to look at the in-game Options to increase the settings if you're computer can handle it.

You should definately buy this if the idea sounds even remotely interesting or if you enjoy story-heavy games. I'm looking forward to seeing more "games" like this!

I'm not sure why so many people didn't like this game; while not the greatest ever, it is a really enjoyable game with a unique story and features. Sure, its very linear; but not every game has to be open-world. Games with a strong narrative, such as Remember Me, would not work very well as an open-world game (the devs would have to impose annoying restrictions on where you go in the open-world anyway to enforce any kind of narrative). So, if you're looking for GTA or something, this isn't for you.

That said, the story is very compelling: you are a memory hunter whose memories have been stolen in a future-parisian city where memories can be traded, bought, and sold. The gameplay reminds me of something like Uncharted or Tomb Raider where you have to climb around, jumping and hanging from ledges. The fighting, which can get a little repetitive is like a not-as-good version of the fighting from the Batman: Arkham Asylum games with some sci-fi elements thrown in. However, the memory remix sequences were some of my favorite parts and something truly unique to Remember Me. Basically, you can scroll through someone's memory and make tiny alterations to change how they remember what happened; for example, you can turn the safety off on their gun and move a stool slightly, causing them to trip on the stool and the gun to accidentally fire, shooting someone else. The soundtrack is also really amazing; I sometimes listen to it while working. Graphically, the game is pretty impressive, especially the remix sequences and other memory areas, which are very stylized; especially when you use 3x1 Eyefinity :)

My only complaint with the game is that the fighting can get a little repetitive.

I've put in way more hours into this game than Steam shows because I originally owned the actually discs (yes, physical discs) and later got the Steam version. This is one of the greatest games ever. An immersive storyline, interesting characters, great gameplay. Despite its 2003 release date, and somewhat dated graphics, I still return to this game every so often to replay it. Because of the branching story and different choices you can make (be evil, be good, kill this guy, steal this item, etc) each playthough is different. I actually have a difficult time playing as an evil character because the game makes me feel bad about my decisions; very few games can do that! There's also some funny moments, particularly anything that HK-47 says :)

Make sure to get one of the widescreen hacks if you have a modern computer.

While it starts off great at first, it later becomes quite tedious as you have to go through the exact rooms in the proper order (which you have to either memorize the layout or look at a guide to figure out) and do the exact right thing in each room in order to advance.
