Anodyne is a delightful break from the mundane amongst a sea of rubbish. The indie games category has grown into an overwhelming flood of mediocrity and inadequacy - traits that Anodyne does NOT share. Coupling Earthbound-esque attitude/theme and early Zelda influence for gameplay, Anodyne brings to the table a brief but completely enjoyable experience that is somehow both classic and also undeniably modernly influenced. Enjoy it for what it is and kill an afternoon in the pleasures of pixelated adventure throwback glory.
