The review bomb going on is rather... uncalled for. Especially with this game. This is one of the best Total War games. I do not care if CA is going sjw with another game. This game is actually good, I'll gladly pay full price for it over and over and over.

I was recently asked, by a friend, if this game was any good. My response was as follows:

So...
It's a milsim with a semi-serious community. It's not a bunch of turbo hyper milsim [REGULAR HUMAN BEINGS] like Arma, but it's not the solo lone wolf super soldier stuff like Battlefield
You do need to work with others, but no one is going to formulate a full battle plan with color coordinated historically accurate jock straps and then rage when yours is a slightly different shade of black like in Arma.
And if you think you're dying to someone you can't see, it's not because the game is bad. It's because, believe it or not, camouflage exists, and a player hiding in a bush is hard to notice when you're frantically running around or have 88mm tank shells flying over your head.
The sound design is also top quality

As a side note you can still find decent milsim groups within the community, so it's really a game for everyone. Especially for people looking to get into milsims. Be aware, however, it will be a baptism by fire.

So far, it's been fun. However... I want to be able to build a self sustaining hospital in which the lack of restrooms forces patients to have bladder problems thus forcing them to need a doctor which in turn forces them to stay at the hospital. Just let that juicy money roll in.
Will update the review if I play more.

Simple... yet infruriating...

After beating this game... I realised you shouldn't beat the game because rushing to the end is clearly not what the devs intended (I only got 39% of the items and collectables)... at least there's new game+

I didn't want to believe the reviews. I know now they were a warning... a warning I didn't heed. I no longer own this game. Thankfully steam's refund system is faster than the combat system in this game.

Tired of games being too easy? Tired of games being too hard? Tired of story lines that don't require you to google and watch youtube videos that will only show speculation? Tired of being sane? Tired of being insane? Tired of games where it only takes 1 try to beat every boss? Tired in general?

Dark Souls 3 is the game for you. Start a new game and hate your life! Then go to New Game+ and realize just how easy the game really was! Then start New Game++ and hate your self all over again! Gather your friends and realize that the game is a lot easier when bosses have more than one target to aggro on! Don't go over level 120 if you want to do PvP! ♥♥♥♥ the area after Pontiff Sulyvahn (You'll understand)! Hate Pontiff Sulyvahn until you buy the DLC and realize he was actually easy as ♥♥♥♥! Marvel at the beauty of the world! Get lost in the lore! Hate the very specific game mechanics that appear only for certain enemies and bosses! Love Great Swords! PRAISE THE SUN! Fist only runs! TWINKS!!! Anti-Twinks! Praise the invader that guides you through a level! Praise the invader who didn't know what he was doing! SIEGWARD, KNIGHT OF CATARINA (ONION MAN!)! SIEGBRAU! Did I miss anything?

After beating NG+ and reaching SL really high number and creating countless other builds (yes I did the obligatory Sun Bro)... I have devolved into a SL25 Roman Legionaire cosplay Blue Sentinel twink... Veni, vidi, vici, boi.
It's an ok game... It cured my War Thunder addiction... I also have a girlfriend now... Best purchase of my life.

Review after 1 hour of play... Wait for a sale.
Tired of playing boring games where you only get to use one gun at a time? Look at Quake. You get one railgun. In MOTHERGUNSHIP you can have as many railguns as you please. You can have railguns mounted next to saw blade launchers paired with rocket launchers with flamethrowers... It's a fun game.
Getting past the obvious selling point. It's a bullet hell. You go into rooms, enemies spawn, they try to kill you, and you jump around like an ape whilst killing the enemies.

This is a very good game, however I'd recommend downloading it on your phone first. This way you can try it out before spending any money. Btw this is mobile port, so don't expect it to be some glorious Bethesda level rpg. It's great for what it is and I've sunk days into it on my phone.
One of the best aspects of this game in my opinion is how actively the Dev updates the roadmap and is constantly active on the forum. It shows the dedication the Dev has to the game, and I wish I could see this from larger companies (cough cough Gaijin).
This game is challenging, quirky, and altogether fun. Like I said before, get it on your phone and try out the free trial lisence. You can always purchase the game and transfer saves between your PC and your phone. However you will have to purchase the game twice.

So... it looked promising... just glad I got the game for free... RIP

What can I say? I was looking for an alternative to Skyrim, and honestly I kinda did. It's an open world RPG. However there's no magic, dragons, or fantasy ♥♥♥♥. It is what the box says; A real world 15th century rpg.

Pros:
-Combat is fun at times... (to be discussed in cons as well)
-Exploring can be rewarding with hidden graves, bandit camps, ruins, etc. etc.
-There's little events that pop up here and there along the roads that keep you on your toes. Could be a group of wannabe bandits or a patrol of 5 heavily armed Hungarian Tards who want nothing but to beat you into submission with their massive ♥♥♥♥♥.
-The world is beautiful and I'm not even on max graphics.
-There's plenty of quests to occupy your time too.

Cons:
-Combat is not fun when 5 homoerotic Hungarians are chasing you...
-NPCs and even the Player's Character show no emotion or expressions in any dialog... even in cutscenes.
-The beginning is a bit linear as it's there to set up the story... it makes the first 2 hours kinda drag on...
-Poachers have too much stamina and will always outrun you. They're also apparently good guys... if you attack them, they'll report you to the guards of the nearest town. So ♥♥♥♥ you.

It's a good game though. Think Skyrim... but realistic as all get out... so honestly not Skyrim, but still really good.
