I played it on release and came back for a second run just before Phantom Liberty hit. Phantom Liberty added a lot to the story while still being its own thing. This went from an "okay" game to something that I find truly amazing. Worth getting into. Night City is amazing to explore and you should try it if you get the chance.

8/10 without Phantom Liberty
9/10 with.

I think most people know about this game by now. I've loved Larian games for a while now, and their flair shines through here brightly even though it's not even their IP. I've played this game so, so, so much.

This one has a lot of content, and a lot of it is optional for anyone who just wants the main story. It's a good balance in that way because you don't *have* to do everything. However, the extra stuff has a lot of personality in my opinion.

I love it. I love it a lot. Some people will like it, other people won't. But I think it's amazing and has a lot of heart. Truly, a lot of it.

11/10 because I love this better than Remake.

I usually don't like giving long reviews anymore, so I'll try to keep this short.
I love Bioware, and I love Dragon Age and Mass Effect equally, but for different reasons. Now that I've finished this, I feel like it's got some good parts from both styles. Some points reminded me of Mass Effect 2 and 3, and others reminded me of Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition.

It's unfortunate that the writing in the beginning wasn't the strongest, I know it can put some people off. Thankfully, I personally really enjoyed the gameplay from the start, and it being "fun to play" helped through the teething phase.

I started off feeling like the game as a 6/10, it was "fine". The characters also didn't interest me at first, and I found some of them to be annoying.

But then as I spent more time interacting with them and seeing how they react to things in the world, I found myself liking, and then loving most of them. There is a lot of love and care dropped seamlessly into the little moments in the game, and it's easy to overlook them or not realise that those moments existed as a result of your choices, background, etc etc. It's more responsive than it seems, and it all feels like it's "supposed to happen", until you play it again and realise oh, things are quite different this time.

One example is moment was an instance that my character was briefly translating Qunari for non-Qunari companion characters (and not in cutscene). It felt natural, and I immediately thought "oh, if I wasn't Qunari, I wouldn't understand this either, just like them". These little moments exist everywhere, and as with many Bioware games, it's the moments that matter.

Not perfect, and a bit too goofy at times, but I can tell it was made with love, and I appreciate it.

Anyway, TL;DR. It's fun, it's great, it's goofy, and it's epic at the right moments. I love it as a Bioware and Dragon Age fan.

PS: Looks like I wasn't able to keep it short after all.

This game is amazing. The character interactions are my favourite.
Also that one scene in Wall Market is the best one ever.

Actual amazing game with a solid soundtrack. Story is fun. So many classes to try and different ways to do things. I'm on my third playthrough and I'm not bored. Bugs can be annoying, and the Voice Acting is a little bit stiff. Otherwise, superb game. One of my favourites!

Decent playtime having played both characters, both with different enough stories. Unexpected for a game like that, actually. Story is very Anime, but in a good way, if you like Anime. Probably less fun if you don't. Combat is relatively interesting, and actually quite intuitive and easy to understand, so it feels smooth enough. Overall, it looks great. Extra points for enemy designs - they are amazing.

Also, I love that the characters do their own unique things in the hideout instead of just standing around all the time. They actually use the gifts they are given. It's cute.

I was skeptical about the format change at first, but it turns out that it did not make the game any worse. Just a little different. Honestly I probably love this story just as much as I loved Yakuza 0, Maybe a little more, if I factor in how it made me feel in comparison. Naturally I got so attached to Kiryu over the past games, that it was initially difficult to introduce a new main character. But Ichiban definitely brings something entirely different to the experience, and has more than earned his place in the legendary series. Splendid new start to the Yakuza series if they make any more.

For now, the best multiplayer CRPG I've played. Doing more than I expected with regards to building on the previous game's systems, choices and characters. Each character has a proper place in the world and its events. It does so well in single player, and multiplayer. Simply amazing.

I'm not a previous Monster Hunter fan, but I really did enjoy this. Honestly, Iceborne made this game even more fun for me. It can be a bit tricky to get into, as there's quite a learning curve and may not feel as fluid as other action games, but it's worth the patience to learn.
