TL;DR: I had fun. It has been a long time since i had this much fun or cared this much about a game or its characters. Kinda sucks that i was from a nearly decade+ old trilogy. Hope the new on, whenever it releases, is fun too.

Never played any ME game to completion except Andromeda.......i liked it(fight me). A bit of 1 and 3 a long time ago but not finished.

My brother loved the original trilogy, and i never really understood why. He spent hours on them, i watched occasionally but it wasn't as interesting to a kid me as other stuff he played and we couldnt coop so it was kind lame. I hit him up when i saw the remaster get announced and hearing how excited he was made me want to give them all a try so i picked up the legendary edition when it came out and played through them all back to back to back.

Then i played through them all again back to back to back on insanity because it sounded fun, i never play on higher than normal in any game anymore.

Then i played through them all back to back to back again to finish off the remaining achievements. I had 10 left in ME 1, 2 in ME 2 and 4 in ME 3 and that justified another trilogy play through to me. Then a whole ng+ play though for that one achievement

Then i start just playing 2 and 3 over again doing the different romance options that i wanted to see play out.

It has been quite a long time since a game has had this much replayability in my eyes and of course its a game series where the most recent is nearly a decade old. Its been so long since i actually cared about the lore of a single player game. All the little cross overs between the games. Oh you did this thing in 1 and then it pays off in 3. Intentional or maybe unintentional foreshadowing that you pick up on after 2 or 3 plays through. I did an andromeda play through to take a break from the trilogy for a bit and started to notice all the references to the trilogy there too. Oh that's his sister. That is his dad. Wait that is definitely Tali's va(she had said less than a sentence when it hit me). Those 2 have the same family name, wonder what the relation is. I vaguely remember there being an ambassador from that clan on Tuchanka. That joke makes sense now.

I am done with the trilogy, for now, nearly 400 play hours later in a bit over a month since release. 3 ME 1 plays through, 5 ME 2 plays through, 6 ME 3 plays through and once through andromeda again. Almost all of that is pure play time. There's like 5 hours where i fell asleep controller i hand but that's about it.

I am fighting the urge right now to start up another profile. I've only played half the classes maybe the others are more fun.

It's a game that you either love, hate or hate so much you can't stop playing.
