Definitely a solid game carried more by story and intrigue rather than gameplay. The core loop (resource gathering/basebuilding/FPS stealth and combat) is decent but gets fairly repetitive by the halfway point. The fantastic plot pacing and delivery are able to just carry it just over the twenty hour mark. Chernobylite doesn't overstay its welcome, and wraps up the story almost exactly where things started dragging on.

I cannot overstate the quality of the atmosphere and overall presentation. Beautiful, even at its most moody and brooding. The graphical polish and lighting completely suspends disbelief for the majority of the game, setting a perfect tone.

Chernobylite is a solid recommendation for exploring the Zone, though Stalker vets might want more out of the combat and survival aspects. Either way, there's something here for everyone.

Amazing pilot, I can't wait for this to be turned into a full game. Sick lo-fi soundtrack and artwork that feels coherent despite it being anything but stylistically. Story-wise, the game has great worldbuilding hinting at a much larger, much more wild universe. A perfect companion for the post-capitalist wasteland of the hyperreal.

The platforming/swordplay combination is terrific, and with some polish should turn out great for a full game.

The release was a bit rocky, and the game still needs a *lot* more content, both official and community.

Despite that, Sandstorm is still one of the best "session" multiplayer shooters. It's a fine mix of action and strategy, and the devs are even bringing back classic maps from Insurgency's previous incarnations. Every recent update has been adding content and performance improvements, so this is definitely a game I would recommend.

Enderal is a massive achievement in modding. The worldbuilding on display here is on par with any of the Elder Scrolls games of recent memory. Writing and voiceacting are almost universally of professional quality across what I've played so far. The environments are on par or better than the Skyrim base game.

Gameplay is occasionally wonky, and there are technical issues (especially performance issues related to ENB and SKSE), but overall still enjoyable. I've played and enjoyed far less stable commercial games... I can easily overlook the technical shortcomings (that are understandable considering the non-commercial nature of the mod).

Everyone involved in this production should be extremely proud. I would love to see a standalone series in this universe.

Absolutely fantastic. I can't remember the last time a game required enough skill and speed to force me into my "zen" place so quickly, and so effectively. Improvements in player skill have a direct and very satisfying reward, like "discovering" the strafe jump speed increase.

Atmosphere is legitimately creepy with great tension and enough jump scares to be fun, but not cheap.

A love letter to older FPSes, but very much its own, separate entity. I can't recommend this game enough, and I can't wait to see what else the devs come up with.

Loved the art design and aesthetic from the time I backed it on Kickstarter. Loved the final product even more. Definitely one of my favorite games of the last few years.

Hard to describe, but it rings a chord from my experience of early adulthood. Maybe it's specific to a particular life experience in a particular part of the world. I would like to think the trials and tribulations of the characters are grounded in a universal humanity (or something else in this case!)

It's essentially a visual novel with platforming elements, a curated view of a certain type of life from creators that lived it/around it.

Don't go into this game expecting interesting gameplay mechanics or easy drama. Invest in the characters and story, let yourself go, and enjoy the ride.
