Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty tells a story about Abe, an Amazon worker, essentially. It's one of the best a puzzle platformers of the PS1 era and now it's back in stunning HD in this form of a remake.

This vs the original:

I get the criticism for the more colorful aesthetic compared to the original but the older one is always readily available right here on steam for only $2.99. The vibrant colors in the factory makes it feel less of an oppressive industrial mega complex but the added 3d models, details, and depth to both the foregrounds and backgrounds ultimately expand on the world building. Compared to the original this version changes quite a bit in terms of a few specific instances but largely keeps all the same beats and set pieces. The return of the "command all" and quicksaving mechanics from Exoddus are nice additions even if being able to quick save feels a little bit cheap in a simpler title. I have only played on the "hardcore" original difficulty and the balance feels right at home with the original (again avoid quicksaving if at all possible.)

Endgame is 100x better than in vanilla

Fun to play with friends and alone, eventually playing alone will get infuriating the higher killer rank you reach. Survivor will always be easy and chill though.
