This was my childhood memory. I love it so damn much! This is one of the few preinstalled games that came with the PC like San Andreas, Vice City, NFS:Underground 1 and 2 and played the crap out of them till my PC overheated but this game takes the cake for me. This was my fav and it still is my #1 favorite game of all timem despite owning 1000 games across all of my console collections. I used to play this game 24/7 as a kid. I used to only talk about the game, act like the characters in the game, I could only breath and live in this game. I used to stay all night playing this game. I had several times where my dad shuts off my computer and take it somewhere because I was too addicted. When it comes to video games this game crosses my mind first.

PROS:

+Challenging. The game has multiple challenges like first beat the main game then unlock hardcore, then beat that then
+Cheesy story. The story is okay, it may not be for everyone but I like it, although there are flaws like cliches but I LOVE IT! This time the game focuses relationship between Max and newcomer Mona, so it IS a romance plot, right? Now show me which action shooter has romance story.... YOU DON'T! Rockstar really made something completely different and it's pretty good! I cherish the moments between these two!
+Mod support. The launcher has an option to run game with mods, very impressive! What's even more impressive, someone made a Max Payne 3-like mode! It isn't my cup of tea but it's truly amazing. Hell, there's even first person mod!
+The awesome soundtracks and unique sound effects. God.. don't even get me started with Late Goodbyes!
+Awesome, satisfying gameplay - The shooting is top notch, also the game doesn't really restrict you from anything, like for example the obstacles, or survive from falling, it's very fun not restricting everything. (looking at you, invisible walls)
+Unforgettable and dramatic moments
+Every single levels are memorable and unique. Especially some horror levels.. when I was little I couldn't get past the nightmare stages without the lights on and someone with me. Anyway, all of the stages in the game are memorable especially the the recognizable loading screens, perfect.
+High replayability / addiction
+Lovable and memorable scenes. This is so nostalgic!!
+Every characters in the game are great written. Max is one of the most handsome looking male character I have seen to my life, his personalities are just quite as good. And other characters like Mona, Vlad, Vinnie are also great addition and are very well written. The rest like the cleaners are good too and especially the mafians and their funny accents. Max & Mona make an awesome couple. Onto Mona, she's amazing and personally the best heroine I've played. She's beautiful, badass and kick ass and has personality. She even has her own theme. What really nails for Mona is that you can play as her in some levels and her own perspective during Max's missions. Vlad and his iconic quote "Have no fear, Vlad is here", one of the best villains in gaming.
Physics & ragdolls are fun. Combined with the levels you can experiment with like in the Funhouse backstage, I believe that one moment where you can play around with the physics ticked with my brain. When I think of video games; the very first thing I think is this game's Funhouse. Because there's so many things you can shoot objects around.

CONS:

-Rockstar accoused of using unauthorized version of Max Payne 2 on Steam.
-No widescreen support
-Kind of too short. It takes 4 hours to beat it and it left me wanting more
-Steam version does not save, your saves will not be transferred and instead I think its stored in registry and NOT documents folder and even then the difficulty you've unlocked will be locked

This may seem weird as the list is short but I'll write more why I believe this game is honestly a masterpiece as time moves on. My will is when i pass away, this game CD forever be taped into my gravestone. I know it sounds cringe but it's true, I can only hope the afterlife have this game so I could just play it forever.
