Early Access Review
A wonderful addition to the survival genre with charm and a story.
We've all had that "but what if we were a scientist during the black mesa incident" well this scratches that itch entirely, whilst just devouring half life for breakfast, there is so much to explore.
The crafting is varied and the research while it can be a little tedious at times, just requires you to pick up or craft things at least once to learn something new that can be made with it, real easy to figure out.
This game has been well worth the wait for it to release, and this is only just early access with so much more to explore throughout this year.

This game IS my game of the year, hands down the best game I've played this year, and that's with spending several hundred hours in the Factorio DLC

Early Access Review
I really wanted to enjoy this game, and I did at the beginning when it released into early access, the roadmap looked great, and despite a LOT of bugs, missing shops, huge problems with part placement and attaching, it was fun to fly around, do jobs and go mining.

but whilst they tried to work hard on bugs, being an MMO fixes were few and far between, even now 2 years after release I can't really build on my station at all.

Additionally they seemed to decide to work on some of the more difficult features before the simpler ones, whilst I can appreciate the moon bases and mining, the capital ships and station sieges, heavily PVP focused things that only benefited people who were in large companies, feel like they should have been much lower on the list of things compared to some of the other features.

An example of something that for me was rather exciting was Factory Tools, I know I know, it sounds extremely boring to most people, especially PVP players, but I loved the idea of being able to setup assembly lines, writing lines of code, to construct pre-made ship modules and parts that I could sell in the games auction house, or running a ship recycling company where we ferry ships in from battles and tear them apart for repurposing or materials.

The game could have been great, and maybe if they hadn't spent years hyping it up with great videos, everyones expectations would have been lower, but for a £28 early access game, this was not it.

I should also say it hasn't received an update since may this year (2023) and the last major update was may of 2022.
Lots of weird server events though?

Great game, fun to explore, always getting lost in side quests, everywhere I go I seem to end up with another quest to send me to the other side of the galaxy, love exploring derelict space stations and space ships.
The motion in space is great, while it's frustrating not being able to 360 rotate a character in Zero G, being locked to a normal axis, nothing will ever beat propelling myself at enemies using the recoil of a shotgun blast.
and the modding potential here is high when the tools release, new planet locations, virtually impossible for location modders to step on each others feet considering the amount of "land" to place locations, looking forward to the futurama moon theme park, as well as all the new ship customizations.

Biggest downside of Starfield is the NEED for an SSD, like it will stutter every few steps if I don't play it on my SSD and considering my only SSD is my 512GB boot drive, it's quite a pain.

Not entirely sure I can understand all the hate for the game, maybe because people were expecting Star Citizen or No Mans Sky, but like, can't people be different? Sorry that they gave you ship construction and design but took away your seamless travel from ground to space.

What time is it? No I haven't eaten, I just ate an hour ago, What do you mean 4 days have passed?
Quite the time sink but an amazing story and great gameplay.
So many characters to experience and explore the lives of.

A fantastic story creation game with lots to see and do.
The possible stories always seem to be endless.
My first colony of 4 ended within the first year due to a lightning strike burning down my kitchen and then the entire complex and all colonists.
It's a game with a lot of trial and error but there is never any really wrong answer to a situation (unless it results in total death).
The expansions are also very good additional content, and the amount of mods available means you can make a colony of almost whatever you want, whether that be a Colony of Technologically advanced Cat People or a religious Warhammer 40k Space Marine outpost.

Never found anything fun in this game, Star Citizen is more fun than this.
The early days is just too much of fly from here, fly to there, deliver, fly from here, fly to there, deliver.
Occasionally get intercepted by AI that you can take out in about 5 seconds.
Flew out far away from the starting area, the game just seems to be the exact same.
Also, don't buy their DLC because like with Horizons,
they'll take your money,
give you fairly mediocre DLC,
leave it a few years,
announce new DLC,
give EVERYONE what you paid £20 for,
and give you a ♥♥♥♥ skin for a game you no longer play

A long lore driven story, tons of places to explore and things to find.
A well thought out universe.
Constantly expanding gameplay with the different seasons.

Best RPG game I've played in years.
Tons of fun, lots of different characters, tons of story and character specific dialogue.
10/10 wouldn't buy another Blizzard game

Early Access Review
Just want to add an update to this review, they've now announced a brand new game based on Worlds Adrift but it's a 1-6 player coop game, fine, great even, I would love to play that, however so far there has been no indication whether or not we will be getting it for free, at least founders who put in extra to support their game, or if we are just gonna get some silly little hat and have to buy Worlds Adrift but slightly different, again.

Was a good game, fun, had a lot going, and some great mechanics, had a lot of fun flying around and grappling around with friends.

It's quite unfortunate the game has now come to a situation where they can no longer support it due to not enough purchases, though what were they expecting with a game that's somewhat niche and relies solely on purchases.
Now I totally understand that it's not possible to release the servers to the community due to the use of SpatialOS and that the system is hosted on SpatialOS and not usable outside of that environment, though I'm sure with a bit of foresight in how the game was doing they could have made an attempt at stripping out the SpatialOS aspect for smaller community ran servers earlier on in time.
The Founders situation is INCREDIBLY poorly handled, to be given 2 COMPLETELY different genre games, I am Bread(£9.99) and Surgeon Simulator(£6.99), 2 games that had interest only for memes and let's plays, that do not even add up to the price of the base game, which before removal from steam was £19.49, and way below any of the founders packs which according to the FAQ(https://support.bossastudios.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002099609--Founder-s-Pack-FAQ-) was £26.99 for the Wanderer Tier going all the way up to £49.99 for the Captain Tier.

This is an incredibly crummy way to treat people who supported you in your game development and I hope they don't think that people are about to buy any future games from them if this is how they treat their supporters,
