If you want to play a game that runs great, looks great and is full of story this one is absolutely wow. The immersion level of the environment and the side gigs that all interact with each other to help you form decisions on how you want to handle issues is just fantastic. I've never had such a dilemma deciding what to do to steer a story the way I want it to go. Phantom Liberty was an amazing part of the story web that immersed you even more. I was not expecting to love this so much. It's now on my list of favorites, right up there alongside Mass Effect, and that's saying a lot for me. I also enjoyed the variety of combat styles you can choose and customize. I do wish my ending was more impactful, dramatic.. I don't know it was missing something to grab my emotions the way I wanted it to. Otherwise, this is a great one.

Yes it has Pokemon "type" characters, but it's many games rolled into one nice little game. Building, crafting, exploring, killing bosses, getting upgraded schematics, breeding your perfect Pals and heading in to battle the big guys is all very rewarding. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Give it a go and see what you think.

I've been thinking about this game lately and have returned to it for another run through. This game is like no other and fully worth the entire price it was released at. It's unlike anything you have and ever will play imo. The story is quite complex, the level of fear it can inspire at times is tremendous and the graphics are stunning. I could go on about this game and though it did get tedious after some time, I'm going back for more anyway because it's worth it.

I have played quite a lot of hours in New World thus far and I find it to be a beautiful game with so much potential. I wish I were here to leave a good review but I unfortunately cannot. I will list my opinion of The Good, Bad and Ugly below:

The Good:
-Graphically pleasing
-The ability to play a wide variety of builds
-You can pursue all crafting professions
-Nice concept of Wars
-Houses and decorating are enjoyable (see the Bad)
-You can obtain a high gear score without the typical "raiding" in Mmorpg's
-Outpost Rush can be fun (see the Bad)
-All forms of gathering and harvesting feel quite satisfying (see the Ugly) and I find this is my MAIN motivation for logging in daily with many reasons related to this such as: need to combine mats to free up space, need to raise crafting skills

The Bad:
-Storage is limited and unconnected generally. Yes, you can pay if you own the territories, but it's so unaffordable it's a
useless "feature".
-Housing Property Taxes are too high which can ruin the housing "feature". If a Company decides to increase taxes and require you to pay up to 4k a week, not paying will cause the home to be fully disabled.
-Taxes in general are allowed to be too high.
-The Trading Post is so basic you cannot even search for an item by a needed Stat such as Constitution etc.
-Quests tended to progress to multiple destinations without rewarding you for the objectives you completed as you travel extremely long distances.
-You cannot open your inventory while moving as they have it tied to character view which forces you to turn around
-Invasions are mostly unbeatable still to this day.
-Outpost Rush has no balancing mechanic so teams can be completely one sided in power at times (see the Ugly).
-Trading Post is now consolidated so material prices will be run down by bots (see the Ugly)
-Class Balance is poor and the feedback in reference to the new changes was just ignored.

The Ugly:
-Bots are rampant, you go out gathering/harvesting and you see them everywhere, they are not removed quickly enough.
-The development team neglects to fix currently bugged weapons and perks and implements balance changes based off of broken mechanics.
-Exploits are an everyday thing.
-Extreme damage weapon bugs are not quickly addressed and become temporary metas until fixes eventually are implemented.
-Most fixes create even more bugs or exploits
-Entire trading post and trading systems get shut down due to similar duping exploits that they cannot seem to figure out how to prevent
-Public Test Realm is made available to test and give feedback which is then not patched before release making the PTR seem irrelevant
-Balance changes so extreme that it requires some classes to completely change gear (that they have crafted, bought and worked hard to attain) to play optimally.
-Quick to publish positive changes in patch notes but neglect to publish negatives.
-Female character models are "ugly" and using the male model with one feminine feature. Armor is not tailored to compensate for the body model making characters look quite generic.

Overall, I really would love to love this game. It's just very frustrating at this stage and I would recommend holding off til you see how it develops.

Though I am not really a fan of this style of graphics and occasionally still find myself trying to adjust to it.. I must say this game takes me beyond that. This game, to me, captures elegant simplicity perfectly. It has depth and will immerse you into it's environment the more you play. Do I wish the character models looked better? Yes I'd like more detail and less polygons.. (the Troll cape for example makes me look like a hunch back, yikes, lol) Do I wish the inside of my house looked more detailed, I realllly do.. do I wish I had more inventory space and weight capacity would increase with skill strength? Yes! Does it change how much I enjoy it right now? Nope. The game causes you to forget about these things over time. If you feel skeptical and aren't into the graphics style of this game (like me), try it anyway! It's so worth it. I will continue playing and hope for some pixel refining, if that's even possible on this engine. Thanks for a terrific game! I look forward to your planned future content!

Thoroughly enjoying this so far. The graphics are nice.. the authenticity in reference to the movie series matches up for the most part and it's easy to get going without having to read a lot to decipher what is going on.

I waited a really long time before buying this game though I wanted to play it for years. The summer sale put it all at a really great price (though I didn't get Genesis yet) and I decided to go for it. My initial thought, after reading reviews, was that I definitely did not want to play on a pvp server. I then started going through the Official PVE servers and ended up starting on a couple of them but there were just too many buildings everywhere already and too many people on the ones I chose. I then went about sifting through Unofficial dedicateds.. after getting password locked out of one I had a good start on that someone "forgot to put a password on" I then decided to make my own Server and that's when this game accelerated into greatness. It is so challenging, scary, grindy, beautiful, buggy at times.. but FUN. I then encouraged a friend and my husband to buy it and we all managed to get into the same area and I have been having the most fun I've had in a really long time in a game ever since. I have barely scraped the surface of just the very first map "The Island" and intend to progress through the maps by release. I would highly suggest going this route if you want to play and enjoy this game to it's fullest with lands that are free from buildings and terrifying dinos in abundance. If you enjoy Pvp, then make your own server with your own rules also and don't allow people to import their characters so you will have a better experience. In conclusion.. super glad I bought this game and even more glad I set up my own server so I can enjoy it the way it was intended.

The scenarios in this game are tough and take multiple tries to conquer.. you learn and grow as you go though and constantly improve. Even though you lose it's hard to get it off your mind.. you walk away and it just draws you back to try again! If you get frustrated about failing, this is probably not a good game for you!

I was skeptical about Tower Unite and even after the first time I played it I felt even more so. As time has gone on, the more I play it the more I enjoy it. They have a lot of work to do mind you but it is Early Access and they have great plans for this interesting game within a game setup. It is an awesome place to take your friends and hang out and have some seriously entertaining fun as long as you can look past a bug here and there and just play it for the fun of it. I can't help recommend it despite it's current flaws but I have faith it will improve with time.
