I really like the way city building works in this game. The way roads can be laid out, who lives where, what jobs they take, etc. I found myself more focused on building for survival than in taking over other areas because I found that expanding too soon makes managing your towns hard to manage when they're not self-sufficient enough, but waiting too long to expand can also hurt your limited resources. I never quite figured out how the retinue stuff works but I'll get there lol. Can't wait to see what the finished game will be like!

i feel like i either need an engineering degree to play, or get an engineering degree if i manage to create an ultimate civilization.

Stardew-esque but much simpler. I spammed this game for a week maybe but then I got a little bored. Maybe I just needed to explore a bit more? For a while I didn't even realize that there were other areas I could visit outside of the main map, but I didn't really feel the need to.

I still would recommend it for anyone who likes these types of sim games, it's kind of like a mix of farming/restaurant/hotel sim. I just wish that there was maybe a bit more direction in story or something. I played until I unlocked the entire skill tree and recipes, but by then I wasn't really sure what the end goal was.

I know it's in early access, and the game did feel pretty bare bones but I like the concept. There were maybe 2 major updates since I've last played but I'll probably replay it again soon because I do like it and I'm excited to see how it improves.

Simple and addictive with high replayability

At first, the game-play was a little wonky for me but simple and easy to get used to. It recommends you use MnK. That aside, what makes this game amazing is not the quality of the controls or the fact that I couldn't access display/sound settings, but the story and the impact it had on me as a player. (I cried).

It really doesn't give too much away; there's no point in spam-clicking past the dialogue to get to the next screen because almost everything plays a role. Subtle foreshadowing hints are scattered all throughout the game, visual clues make you ask questions that aren't *directly* addressed, and the fact that some details are left for the player to piece together instead of out-rightly telling you "this is what happened" are all key factors for what makes this story beautiful. You can only wonder about what was "right".

Game is very short but very good, 10/10 would recommend.

I've been addicted to the Sims franchise for years now and it's a game that I will always be able to come back to. The Sims is both super chill and super chaotic and the possibilities are unending. The Sims community is wonderful and the game has gone a long way to be more inclusive and it's a really good feeling to see familiar foods in game. BEWARE THOUGH that while the base game is free, packs and expansions make the experience much better BUT it is also very very very very very expensive. There's no need to buy every single pack, but if anything one of the main ones I'd suggest is Seasons :)

10/10 would play again (and I did)
