Flawless.

Well, no, not the port.. sadly those sprites are just plain hideous, but the game. The game was always flawless and it will always be flawless. Super music, memorable characters, engrossing story, deliciously evil villain, utterly perfect turn-based battle system. I love this today as much as I loved it when it first came out in 1994.

The port was fine too, it really was. Very few issues of any note;

*Lousy character sprite redraws. No, really, they're terrible :(
*SFX qualiy had a tendency to sound scratchy at times.
*Music didn't loop cleanly and music changes were abrupt. Noticeable especially during cutscenes and emotionally charged scenes.

Controls were fine on a controller, didn't even dare to use k/m. Game ran flawlessly (of course!) but had a weird issue where game was 60fps yet dropped to a (very noticeable) 30fps during airship travel. Overall the remastering of the visuals was very nice and it worked lovely, especially for enemy battler sprites, but man oh man oh man... the character sprites are just downright hideous. Thankfully the community is working on fixes :)
