Can befriend white fluffy dog 10/10

I booted up the game thinking I was going to do a story mission. However, next thing I knew I had rescued a dying man in the wilderness. It was night, and a man had fallen off his horse and was badly injured. I rushed him into Saint Denis via horseback to get treated by the doctor. I proceeded to witness the doctor amputate this mans arm off. The doctor said the man will live. I felt like a hero. This doctor will later be the same man to diagnose me with incurable TB.
