niko oneshot is literally me...

Loved the original since it came out, Having played through it probably like 10 times or so and knowing every iddy biddy little thing, When i found out there was a remake coming i was a bit worried they'd mess it up like what happens to some other games like Silent Hill or make the RTX far too overdone and distracting like Portal RTX. But they haven't done either of those things at all, The remake is incredibly well made and more than lives up to the hype and the original games legacy and also adding onto it with the also fantastic new chapter which doesn't feel disconnected to the rest of the game at all and fits right in, carrying that same atmosphere and foreboding the rest of the game revelled in. It feels like this is what Blue Isle really wanted to make but the technology of 2013 just wouldn't allow for it but now they've been able to fully unleash their creative freedom and make the game look and feel truly great. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out and if you are interested or on the fence about getting this game, please please do get it, genuinely is one of the greatest horror games out there with a magnificent new coat of paint.
(I've seen some comments about the performance of the game but i believe that has since been resolved as there was an issue with DLSS, Simply have DLSS on quality all the time and you shouldn't have any issues. If you continue to have issues or have a GPU prior to the 20 series/ AMD GPU that isnt a 7700xt or higher, either turn the global illumination and maybe other settings down a bit till you get 60+ fps or if you are on an AMD GPU you can use Radeon Super Resolution)
