To be honest, I expected something bad coming into this game. But, coming out with about six hours played, this game is actually decent.

PROS

- There's quite a decent length in terms of gameplay.
- Feels like a Japanese Sidescrolling Shooter from the early 2000s
- The wide variety of characters is nice.
- The soundtrack is really good. Shame I can't find any of it besides a few tracks uploaded by Walter Yanko.
- The game has a good price, at $0.99.
- There is a fair bit of challenge.

THE STUFF I'M NEUTRAL ON

- The graphics are ok. It's go a decent style but it's a bit weirdly shaped and the textures are a bit low quality.
- The cutscenes in the game are a bit stupid. I get a giggle once or twice, and it might be that I'm not used to that "hue hue BR" humor, but it's a bit stupid.

MINOR THINGS THAT BOTHER ME

- Whenever you encounter a new character, after their cutscene thing, you have to start the level over. Would've been better if you continued from where you were.
- The controller support is a bit weird. The controller I used was a Logitech F310. To pause/start, you press B, and you can't start a level controller. The D-Pad controls for it also didn't feel to right.

CONS

- The game lags quite a bit, and this has happened to a lot of people, mostly because of how much is on screen.
- There aren't any in-game options, which sucks if you want to listen to something else while playing the game.
- Some of the enemy designs are kind of ugly and bizarre.

Overall, especially for the price, I recommend this game.

7/10.
