Went in blind with only the recommendation of a friend. That was the perfect way to play this - as blind as possible. I will say this, it is very heavily focused on narrative and if you happen to reach an early ending, it is 1000% worth continuing on until you reach the 4th 'canon' ending.

I can't believe I almost put this down before seeing the real ending.

Early Access Review
While I recommend the hell out of this game, it's very important that you understand 2 things very clearly.

1. This is an old school game. It is punishing. It's slow. It's difficult, and it's missing a lot of the quality of life things that modern games have. Personally, I think having gps, golden question marks, and a forgiving world change the nature of MMOs, and not always for the best.

2. This is an alpha ass alpha. Not all of the classes are in. Not all of the zones are in. Entire systems aren't implemented. I have personally encountered grey box mobs. There will be wipes, with at least one wipe during live launch.

If you are able to stomach having your character wiped and you are as starved for a challenging, social and group focused MMO as I am, then there is a growing community of like-minded people that you can find here. Loving it so far. Good work VR

I didn't know that factory building was a genre that I would like until I played Satisfactory. I have put 500 hours in during early access which is something I rarely do with games now, and 1.0 has raised the bar. Easily top of the class in a genre that I have grown to love. I love this game and I am sure that I will love what the team at Coffee Stain have up next.

After playing Teyon's new Robocop game, when I found out they made a Terminator game previous to that I had to try it. While some of the audio balancing was off for me and the voice acting left something to be desired, the gameplay itself was surprisingly satisfying. I like this formula that they've put together for these games and I can't wait for the next franchise they tackle.

Easily the best ARPG in a decade. Server issues at launch happen. This game doesn't deserve the hate.

As much as I love Joel Kinnaman, after the Robocop remake I needed this. Serious fan service stapled onto a really solid game. Loved it.

Without spoilers, the main story was good. It had quite a few moments that had weight and managed to make one feel the feels. I'm glad that insomniac took some risks, and while the story has a fair number of flaws, it was competent and I enjoyed it.

The web slinging is amazing and that's really why we're all here. It takes a great amount of inspiration in both the level design and the combat from the Arkham games, and thankfully treats it with respect. Spider-man is very similar, but it does have its own unique elements. The gadgets manage to keep things interesting throughout the game.

What doesn't stay interesting throughout the game is all the side content and collectathon nonsense. I completed a couple of these hoping for some sort of story reward or additional bosses, but as far as I know there is none of that to be had here. collect all the backpacks and you will have a menu full of short audio logs. take all the pictures and you will have a pat on the back in the form of a steam achievement. For some people it may be enough reason to just leisurely swing around NY city and enjoy it for what it is, but for me it made a fun system turn into a chore.

Unfortunately I had the same experience with the combat. there are a generous helping of enemy arenas scattered around the city and while checking off a couple of factions was fun, the arenas start to feel very similar after a while too.

The best I can say for this title is that it's fantastic and you should pick it up. But be careful not to get lost in checking all the boxes and getting all the things. Stick to the campaign and take a break for side content only when you really want to.

I had heard a lot of things about this game, most of them good, and a good many of them comparing it to Dark Souls. I have never played any of the Dark Souls games and I didn't think that the formula was something that appealed to me, but Jedi: Fallen Order got rave reviews and I am a Star Wars nerd so...

It clocked in at 15-20 hours which was much shorter than I expected, but it is a well crafted game. the environments are gorgeous and there are many ways to get around them. While there was more backtracking than I liked, shortcuts are thoughtfully placed to help avoid some of the backtracking and save points always seemed to show up by the time I needed one. I played on the normal difficulty and it didn't feel as punishing as I had feared it might be, but it still had some fights that were very challenging and took a dozen tries.

It reminded me a lot of the Bioshock games with the Tomb Raider reboots mixed with Dark Souls and packaged with a Star Wars bow on top.

Jedi: Fallen Order had a great story, and some of the set pieces were absolutely breathtaking. I really enjoyed my playthrough.

A far far better Sim City than Sim City. If you were a fan of the old games and you are troubled by how EA has treated the franchise, give Cities: Skylines a try.
