Yes, I already tried out different speeds while creating the effect but I prefer the slower speed for three of my own reasons. Firstly, the blobs were splitting and joining faster than I would like. Secondly, motion in real lava lamps tends to be much slower and I personally wanted it to look closer to the melting speed of the wax in most lava lamps. Lastly, changing particle speed isn't as easy as speeding up the entire system though I wish it was. The entire effect isn't rendered on a single pre-baked texture. It's in 3D space (but offset as to not obscure the player's face). This gives it a more dynamic look and avoids just having a looping animation play out.

me think Lava Lamps effect look very nice but me think would be nicer if was faster? putting preview video on 1.7x speed made it look alot cleaner imo
