My used to be second favorite game of all time (now third) is an incredible party based RPG that truly is a classic. The characters are loveable especially best girl leliana if you know what i mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

What's awesome about origins is well, The origins. Based on your characters race you get to choose a origin story that affects how you're regarded in the world and allows for quite a bit of role playing, While not locking you out of anything. Being a grey warden is awesome because besides being a member of the wardens you're nothing special. You're just a dude/dudette who got recruited. It's up to you to make yourself a important character! Which i love about RPGs. As it's a pet peeve of mine when the game just says you're special because you're the player character.

The DLC that comes in the ultimate edition is top notch. (besides the gifts. I'd recommend largely ignoring them as they're an easy way to 100 affection rating your party. Nice for repeated playthroughs where you don't want to care about 'em and will just shut them up with material goods if they get angry at you.)

The pranks however are great. As if you give the butterfly sword to mr stern face locked in a cage you can literally get a rainbow sword that attracts butterflys and remains viable throughout the entire game. That was my go to weapon for my first playthrough lol

In closing DA:O is awesome. And if you're a fan of tactical rpgs get this now. It's great. And the DLC is great. (there's more then just pranks and gifts by the way. There's actual content and quite and a beast of a companion.)

Ashes of ariandel gets builled quite often because it's short. But, The level design is very interesting. It's got quite a bit of verticality in the level design, and the enemies are no joke.

It's up to you to decide if this content is worth it to you:
~14 weapons that are all pretty fun and have unique spins on existing weapon types
~4 spells, That are sadly last i checked pretty meh / situational
~2 bosses, One of which being one of the most intense and fun of the entire series in my opinion

Now, The length of the DLC is off putting to some. But may i remind you that the current world record speedrun for all bosses (including both DLCs) in ds3 is 1:24:19. Dark souls is very much a game series you play at your own pace. Yes, You can run through ashes with a sunbro in 30 minutes to an hour your first time through. But i personally explored and took my time. So it's worth it in my eyes.

I suppose if you're into these sorts of horror games it's pretty great.

I've never been much for horror games like this. But i wanted to get into the genre and i think this game was a bad one to start with. Your recording camera runs out of batteries way to quickly. Which sucks because there aren't that many batteries and you basically need the camera to survive. Without the night vision feature you're basically screwed.

Enemies appear borderline psychic at times, You'll be running away from a nonscripted encounter and you hide behind something. The music will stop killing your ears and it'll go back to stealth music. Just kidding it's LOUD NOISES time again and your ears are being violently assaulted again. "Why not just turn off the music?" They don't give you that option ;-;

Like i said at the beginning of the review. If you like these types of games buy it. Totally. You'll love it. But if you're trying to get into the genre it's not a very good game to start. Pretty much everything this game does besides the music is amazing though. But, Just not for me.

Also there's a 3-4 second loading screen when resetting the levels. Why.

EDIT - Oh man https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/42756

Pretty boring, Colors are a strain on the eyes. Cheap trading cards though. So head on to the market and grab some 40ish cent badges.

Other then that i'd recommend passing. It's not a very stimulating puzzle game.

+Enjoyable and diverse characters, From goats to sentient washing machines this game shouldn't be boring on a character design standpoint
+Killing or sparing monsters, While both are preformed in a similar manner. Does actually matter.
+Game is quailty over quantity. It's around 4-5 hours however it's jampacked with easter eggs and special character interactions depending on what stuff you have equipped and item interactions with certain monsters.
+3 Main endings, One of which has multiple varaitions on said ending
+Game is made to be played multiple times. One playthrough won't allow you to see all the game has to offer.
+Dialog is well written and funny
+AMAZING music and great fan remixes. As well as an offically commisioned album.

-/+Memes and references. You either love em or hate em.
-/+The difference between killing stuff and mercying stuff is either a little minigame or choosing a "dialog" option. Something cool though, Is that you have to pay attention to the monsters and how they're feeling if you want to mercy them. Take that however you will.
-/+Difficulty curve is as intended. Game is rolfstomp easy 99% of the time, However a certain ending is like being thrown into a warzone with no prior combat training

-The biggest problem with undertale is if you don't like the characters. The entire game banks on you liking at least a couple of the characters.
-combat banks on certain.. Curveballs.. If you will, To be interesting. The basic combat is kind of boring.
-no real rpg meat here. stats are nonexistent with the only thing that matters being LV, Attack, And defense. With good items only really mattering on a certain ending

All in all i really love this game, But it requires you to love emotional stuff like it. If you don't like the characters you won't like undertale as they're the main selling point of said game. If you aren't interested in a story driven meta sorta game and want actual hard gameplay you won't get much here.

*Early impressions* *indepth thoughts below*

+Great art style
+Great sound design and ost
+Story is told in a really creative and fun way
+Stunning atmosphere
+Story is engaging

-Train is reduced to whack-a-mole minigame
-2d sidescrolling not-zombie is most of the game and boring
-Supplies seem to scream lots of not-zombies ahead with no creative approach viable. Basically it feels lazy.
-Survivors are hidden in the 2d not-zombie shooter segments. This would be a plus if the shooting levels were fun

I had some pretty high hopes for this game, I mean. It sounds amazing in concept. Keep your train running, Scavenge for supplies to keep said train running. However the game has a couple of issues.

First of all it barely has anything to do with trains. The meat of the game is spent in a 2D sidescrolling not-zombie shooter. Which, In my opinion isn't really well thought out. At first i thought it was brillant. Throw objects at zombies to conserve ammo, Use heavy punches to knock off armor plated not-zombies

However shortly after the game just kinda gives you guns and ammo basically screaming "Hey player! How about a group of not-zombies?" I don't feel like a scavenger if literally everything i find is because in the next room over i need to use it to survive. (The breaking point for me was when the game gives you a shotgun and you find a note saying "Don't go into the subway!" And you are, Unless i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Forced to go into the subway)

Back to that train, It's basically a whack-a-mole game as another reviewer described. red "!" appears over a console or person and you have to either play a minigame or give them something. I was really hoping for more meaningful train mechanics. Other then busy work until you get to the next station.

Now, This game does do a lot right. For instance the story is told in a very creative way and the atmosphere is expertly done. For example you have a text message console that allowes you to communicate with other train workers. And your passengers will talk about the lore of the world allowing you to fill in the gaps of the story (if you rescue, and keep them alive anyways) I'll probably keep playing for the story alone to be honest. It's got me hooked. I really wish steam had a neutral button instead of thumbs up/down as this game deserves a neutral in my book.

TL:DR Buy it on sale - Story so far is great - Gameplay is meh

+Social game of deception and lies
+It's free on browsers
+Feels satisfying to manipulate people and win (is that a bad thing i feel that way?!)
+Can choose houses / character avatars w/ different pets
+Matchs are short and sweet for the genre
+Wide variaty of roles and scum types w/ custom lobbies allow for some fun chaos

-Role "scrolls" allow people to increase their chances of getting a certain role. The idea itself isn't bad. However it's open to abuse. Teams of people using out of game communication can have high chances of getting investigative town roles to completely ♥♥♥♥ all the scum roles pretty easily. making roles like the spy, framer, forger, etc have no use. How can you see whispers if all the important roles are talking out of game? If you forge someones role, Their buddy can just say "i'm in skype with that person that's a forged will" Same with framing. Now, not all groups are bad. Most are good. But you only notice the bad ones.

Before i get into pros and cons, This game has a demo on the official site that actually acts as a prologue to the games story. In which Jill(you) serves a strange girl named Anna.
The devs finally added the prologue and the original concept of the game remastered to the game. You can play them by clicking on the + icon in the main menu.

+Great writing
+First playthrough took around 20+ hours
+Amazing 10/10 soundtrack
+Great characters
+Waifu bartending
+Dog in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hawaiian shirt
+characters feel alive as they sometimes break their professional / social front to be themselves and or let loose.
+Multiple endings
+Instead of dialog options, The story / dialog between characters changes based on what drinks you serve and how much karamotrine (alcohol)you give people, With 30+ drinks (some of which having optional karmotrine levels) you can get people wasted or keep them sober. (along with other things) your choice.
+New game plus
+ridicluous hidden secrets

+/-Memes that can both be hilarous, And feel forced at times
+/-Jill is very needy. If you don't buy her what she wants she'll get distracted. But, You also have to pay bills. Can be annoying, Personally i like the system. But it can lead to replaying days and frustration if you want to give jill everything
+/-The good ending is weird. I loved it, But > It comes on too quckly and introduces characters some may not have time to get emotionally invested in

-no cloud saves yet
-certain characters get shafted for jills regulars. Probably my least favorite thing with this game, If you like adam jen- I mean jamie go ♥♥♥♥ yourself because you don't get an ending with him. There are other characters you don't see much of, But jamie's my favorite of the bunch.
-achievements give too much away in my opinion.

The best waifu bartending game on the market. It's just an epic prank tho - You can't romance anyone.
