This is one of the few games that I purchased in early alpha that has completely kept me playing. Multiplayer survival on public servers suffers from typical public server survival game problems of having a tough time of fighting entrenched groups and having no viable way to defend a small group from a larger more coordinated raiding party.

That said I won't lie, as difficult as it can be at times solo survival has me hooked. I love waging a one man war against the zeds as the last man standing, scavenging an entire wasteland. The pure feeling of terror as I realize I've only got a few minutes till blood moon rising on the 7th night and I'm a kilometer away from the safety of my fortress is real. The horde can and will surround you if you're not competent at kiting and keeping an eye on your surroundings, and the locales have significantly improved over the last year. Even after playing for a long time I happened upon a new site I've never run across before... a skate park.

It's far from perfect folks, I'm not going to pitch the pro's and cons but if you're a fan of survival, zombies, a solid crafting system, and a fairly well put together game, 7 days does the trick and I'd greatly recommend it to someone just getting into steam and looking for a fun Survial Title.
