Early Access Review
Tl;dr Cute in-progress game that is slightly over-priced for where it is for release. Not buggy so far, and enjoyable. I'd say to support them.

10/26 update- Loving the addition of the pointers for finding people in the final round. Definitely helps with the size of the arena and overall level up pacing seems to be improved. The first additions to the shop are a great style and I do like the option to choose between two art styles. Survival mode addition is as good as I hoped. I'll be back after a few more updates to give my thoughts. n.n

Launch Day- I picked this game up today after its launch. So far it's cute and I love the whales in the background. Right now it has two fish available, an herbivore with cute stars, and a carnivore that looks a bit like an angler fish. I've been playing for a bit and have gotten a few levels. It scratches a childhood itch for the games where you start as a little fish and grow so you can eat bigger and bigger things. The multiplayer aspect is nice. Very clean style and playable as is thought the price tag is a bit high for the current level of development. Shark.io is the same thing for free without a time limit and less polish. I'm curious to see where this goes and wish these first-time devs the best of luck!

-Pros
+ You can jump out of the water and get some good air.
+ The style is clean and simple. I like it. It's very cute.
+ Whales in the distance are gorgeous and I like the attention to detail in the environment while keeping it uncluttered.
+ The chip-tune sounds are very cute.
+ Approriate for all age groups.
+ Runs very smoothly with what is currently there.

Cons-
- I can't tell what to expect yet. There is a lot still under construction.
- The round time limit seems just a bit too short for how big the area is. Can be hard to find enough food to level and locate your enemies.

Hot tip: You can break larger food into smaller pieces for more points and food. Grow strong new fishes!

Hi Brutus
Huge thanks to you for taking the time to play Fish Duel, and especially for your feedback as it gives us plenty of signposts to guide us into making Fish Duel an ideal full-featured gaming experience. As you mentioned, there is still a lot more content and features we are yet to add to Fish Duel. In addition to the currently available game mode, we are currently working on a new survival mode where you have no time limit and can keep playing until your fish is dead. A bit further down the track we also plan on adding more types of fish to choose from. We will also take your feedback into account when we make adjustments to some of the existing features in Fish Duel.
Thanks again for your support. We hope you will continue to enjoy Fish Duel!

Hi Zerobi!

I'm glad if the feedback was helpful in any way. You guys have done a great job so far. That survival mode makes kid me so so hyped, and I can see a ton of room that you folks left yourselves to expand and grow the vision of your game.

I'm super excited to see you guy grow! :steamhappy:
