Owned this game since its days in Alpha!
The only thing I can say about this game is don't get wrapped up in the developers money grabbing schemes. Buy the game and DLC's on sale as they are not worth full price and enjoy in the light. There is a lot of controversy in the development of ARK and the soon to be ARK II with the release of all the DLC versions of this game.

I still recommend this game because it is fun and can be fun for you and friends. The cons though are that all official servers are now gone in favor of moving on to ASE and ARK II. After many years of owning the game and updates being pushed out left and right the game is still filled with glitches and bugs and has now been left to rot as Wildcard moves on to there new projects.

This is why I say again, buy it on sale. Have fun with your single player game or friends and don't expect much more. I have definitely enjoyed my 2,000+ hours and will continue too as this is undeniably one of my top favorite games.
