TL;DR Waited 10 years for an unfinished downgraded experience. Less units, less gameplay, less maps.

Consider this, The last 3 war games came out 2012,13, then 14. They took a year of development. This game comes out 10 years later, is in early access for ages, and is still nothing compared to the old games. 

As compared to Red Dragon, this game does make some significant mechanical gameplay improvements, while at the same time falling well behind the game this is allegedly replacing. So many key features from previous alliterations of the game are just completely missing or stripped down to a shell of what this game should be. I really enjoy the new overlays where you can see the cover, how it changes the range and visions of units. I really like how you can also see stuff like % to make a shot, the range of the guns, and so on. But that is about it for improvements! The rest are all downgrades. Not a lot of factions, most factions will come as later DLC. Units that were once base game, now locked behind DLC. Can't make your own decks like you used to (but muh ballance) There isn't even a vehicle tab anymore, and commander units are randomly stringed out in different tabs. When placing a unit you can no longer have a preview of what the vehicle or special weapons they have are. You have to remember each name of each vehicle and weapon. I do like that in the deck builder you now have tabs for experience and vehicles, well kinda. Lets say you want a ranger squad. In the old game each ranger squad was a separate entity in the builder (squad with a hummer, squad with an APC, squad with a helicopter, and so on) Now you just click the squad, then click on a tab what vehicle, except helicopters, those are still a separate entity. Why? I dont know that's just what they felt like doing I guess. I do like how we had to wait TEN YEARS for a map editor. Thats nice. I could keep going on and on.

Oh to top it off. You can get the last 3 war games, and all DLC for less then the price of this game with no DLC. 

GAME ABANDONED BY DEVELOPER. Last Update was in December of 2022 and the last thing heard from the dev was from 2023.

Its a fun game that has sadly been abandoned.

WARNING THIS GAME IS NOT FOR CHILDREN. They had added in body mutilation to the game. This is disgusting and wrong. This should be left out of a game rated for CHILDREN. This is supposed to be a game about escaping the reality around us and making our own person to have fun. By injecting politics into this is ruins the whole experience.

I feel like every new release for this game is just a DLC for the last game. Its the same game engine since 2010. People are saying better graphics and physics but its not. The vehicles dont feel right. They drive so bouncy or wobble around like crazy. It just feels off.

This game is way more fun than you would think. I love to go on, turn off my HUD and roam around the landscape. There is also a fantastic hop in hop out co-op mode. The graphics have aged amazingly well. It is fantastic! Also can be played as a stealth shooter, or a run and gun game.

I honestly like this game a lot!

Dear EA.

PLEASE give us PC players a way to disable the arcade driving assistance this game has. When I am going around a corner and the car turns and drifts for me it makes it unplayable.

This game does have its flaws but it is fantastic to just play and drive around. Its an open world driving game.

The greatest flaw is it is ALWAYS ONLINE DRM, and its a grind to play. But to be honest if you are playing to just have fund, drive around, and explore it is fantastic. The music is great, the graphics have aged very well.

The best part is the game is BETTER than Crew 2... yeah that is right, it has more detail in the map and cars! Weird huh? Older game is better. I have hundreds of hours in this game on ubisoft, and its great that the save info has synced over!

FREE WEEKEND REVIEW:

Hey guys, Long time battlefield fan here (most hours in 3 and 4) and I am honestly very sad about this game. There are too many issues to list and you have heard them all already so I will just say my personal opinion.

The graphics at max settings look like I am playing on an Xbox.

There is no team play or sense of cohesion at all. It is a constant mess of AI and crap all over.

This game is worthless.

Feels like I am playing a mobile game and I can't take it anymore. Playing it on the free weekend it makes me see that there is zero way I will ever buy this. The best thing to play in the game is Portal so you can play WW2 or BF3 style. Even then the core game is lacking so much. It is unfortunate. They could have done so well with this game but failed.
