Incredibly reassuring that an indie studio can just have a profoundly good and ambitious idea for a game, make it, and it indeed turns out as one of the best games ever made.

Love this game, it's literally just fun to play runs even if you're not going for any kind of challenges or unlocks. Characters are all varied and fun even before you get any items, items engage with a bunch of different mechanics in ways that are interesting on their own, and also feed into an interesting (advanced) puzzle of figuring out optimal choices of items.

Playing as Loader and optimizing for burst damage also makes this the best One-Punch Man game that they'd never actually make.

Fast and tight (stylish?) action game that gives you enough tools to deal with any situation.
Does not waste your time, each new level steps up the difficulty enough to keep you interested and encourages you to improve your strategies, but it never once got frustrating even as I completed all the hardest optional challenges. The mechanics enter your head and you go into a "flow state" of skating and shooting, but the slow-down mechanic gives you enough room to also constantly make meaningful strategic decisions.

By my reckoning, a 'perfect' little game; gets everything out of its concept and mechanics without stretching it thin or leaving you feeling like something's missing.

The game is pretty, unique and definitely has a soothing atmosphere and unique angle; but be warned, this is not a strategy game, it is not a sandbox game, it is at best a free-form kind of puzzle game, but not a very puzzly one. Its main merit is its premise and aesthetic, not gameplay.

I can't say I disliked it, but I definitely would not have bought it at full price if I'd known it would just be 3 hours of straightforwardly completing objectives.
