This is the best roguelike game I have played. The enemy variety is insane, and all the bosses are amazing besides a couple. It is quite punishing, but always manages to keep me playing with the soundtrack, puns, and animations. If you want a challenging roguelike to spend hours grinding and learning, this is it chief.
