This game genuinely has the most fun and solid movement tech I've seen in a multiplayer FPS in a long time.
Leaning? Check.
Sliding? Check.
Chainable wall jumps? Check.
Rocket jumping? Check.
The game actively encouraging you to "break" the mechanics as meta? Check.

You'll easily find more and more unorthodox methods of winning as you play more, as the game heavily encourages experimentation. Some of my favorite examples are using barrels as shields and then hucking them at the heads of your enemies, dual wielding a mine and a silenced pistol in order to place the mine and detonate it immediately by shooting it, and kicking a wall right over someone's head, just to slide under them legs and get a crisp headshot with a shotgun once on the other side. You can even yeet yourself across the map by dropping a barrel on yourself and jumping while carrying slide momentum.
Also the community is awesome. I haven't had a single troll or bad sport, and I've played over 500 rounds. I've actually made a handful of cool friends on here!
I cannot emphasize enough how much this game slaps. Please play it!

P.S. The DLC is very worth it IMO! It's very refreshing to have a free fps without any microtransactions, and the $4.99 price tag for almost 80 maps and a ton of new weapons is a steal imo. If you're looking to play with friends, only the host needs the DLC for both people to play it. It's definitely worth it to support a solid game like this that's only made by two people. :)

Wouldn't buy at full price, but I got it out of a Humble Bundle and have been having a lot of fun! Plenty of replay value, and brings back a lot of fun memories from my childhood of hanging out at the arcade and no-lifing the first two games. I can whole heartedly recommend this game as long as you can get it on sale for 15 or less solely because of the length of the game.

I love this game! It has a very unique combination of mechanics and inspiration from other titles (the gunplay calls to mind CS:GO and Valorant, whereas the card system is very unique imo!) plus an absolutely bangin' art style (although I'm furry trash I may be biased). I feel the game would really benefit from text chat & voice chat, along with a̶ ̶r̶e̶w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶g̶r̶e̶s̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶s̶y̶s̶t̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶f̶e̶e̶l̶ ̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ ̶g̶r̶i̶n̶d̶y (EDIT: This has been fixed!) but it's a REALLY solid package especially for the price. Give it a try!

BEFORE WE GET TO ALL THE GOOD.:
ZA/UM STOLE THIS GAME AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY CRAFTING IT WITH LOVE IN THEIR HEARTS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. PLEASE HONOR THE DEVS WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED AWAY FROM THEIR IP AND DO NOT FINANCIALLY SUPPORT ZA/UM. JUST BUY A KEY SECONDHAND OR SOMETHING, PLEASE. EVEN BETTER, EMAIL THE WRITERS AND ASK THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT. PLEASE.

Anyway. This game genuinely changed my outlook on life and the way I look at the world for the better.
Just like our world, the world of Disco Elysium is grim, bleak, dystopian, and most of all, capitalist. And yet, you meet people around you who give you hope. There's more than just the broken systems around you; there are people who give the gray world color, and life.

You wake up remembering nothing. People tell you you're a cop, and sure enough, you find your partner, Kim Kitsuragi, waiting for you in the lobby of the cheap, dilapidated brothel you woke up in, and you have a case to solve. From there, the world is your oyster. You craft the person your character is, and you don't have to simply stick to the case. Side quests have just as much effort as the mainline quests put into their writing, characters, and locations. The world around you feels so alive, with characters that have complex emotions and motives behind them. The game is outstanding at emulating a distant, yet not so different world from our own.

This game genuinely ranks up there with the best in terms of storytelling in RPGS; I'm talking in the realm of games like Planescape: Torment, Dragon Age, Warcraft, Baldur's Gate, and more. And yet it's its own breed. The way it revolutionizes RPG mechanics is unparalleled. I think that turning the strengths (and weaknesses) of the human psyche and form into individual RPG stats that not only affect your physical ability, but the thoughts running through your character's head at any given time as well; thoughts which may very well affect your decisionmaking later on.

If any of this sounds interesting to you, please, PLEASE, give it a try. I started this game two weeks ago, and it changed my life to the point I'm getting my first tattoos in honor of it (for anyone wondering, I'm getting the inland empire portrait on the left side of my ribcage and the empathy portrait down my left forearm) later this year.

Fast paced, hectic, and with a rad as hell soundtrack, Post Void is a sleeper hit. I genuinely feel this game deserves more recognition. Maps, enemy placement, and perks are randomized every run, so it's basic rougelike fare. However, the game basically REQUIRES you to speedrun for your life. If you don't keep getting kills, you explode. It requires pinpoint precision and that's what makes this game so fun. Also the punk rock soundtrack and unique artstyle make for a totally unique vibe.

TL;DR: RAD AS HELL/10

Do you like card games? Do you like horror? Do you like ARGs (alternate reality games)? Do you like mystery? Do you like stimulation (not that kind, you perv!)? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then I highly implore you to give the game a shot. You may or may not have seen the popular card game Inscryption around as of late, but know that this easy to learn yet hard to master game of sacrificing animals to summon stronger creatures is the framework for the entire game, but NOT by any means all it has to offer. What else, you ask? Well, without spoiling anything: escape room style puzzles, a very large selection of cards, and all in all, you have your endurance tested by four ancient scrybes. I won't say anything more because I recommend going into this game blind if possible. The story, albeit with an admittedly somewhat abrupt ending, took me about 14 hours and intrigued me unlike nearly any game I've played since Daniel Mullins' first and second games on Steam, Pony Island & The Hex. I'm still finding secrets and new stuff left and right in my second playthrough. Daniel has a consistent way of really hooking me as a player with intrigue, mystery, and solid game mechanics, and thus I recommend this game highly.
