✅ Striking Art Design

❌ Generic story plot.
❌ Forgettable side missions.
❌ Your controller may not work without third-party software.
❌ The shift to an open-world format doesn’t add enough value.
❌ Parkour is decent but no longer impressive.
❌ Average level design.
❌ Dull combat.
❌ Unengaging characters.
❌ Unnecessary skill tree.
❌ Overabundant and generic collectibles.
❌ Poorly implemented time attack levels, now pointless with servers offline.

For those who played the original, this one is completely skippable.
For newcomers, you're better off grabbing the first one on sale and playing that instead, if my memory serves me right.
I can see people enjoying this game more if they haven’t played a wide variety of games.

A steal at 90% off

In Sound Mind is more of a puzzle-adventure game but with a good dose of horror, standing out with its engaging narrative, eerie atmosphere, and creative mechanics. Playing as Desmond Wales, a psychologist trapped in his own mind, the player explores surreal worlds shaped by the deepest fears of his patients.

Game Pacing:
The game starts off a bit slow, gradually introducing its mechanics and atmosphere. However, it doesn’t take long to pick up the pace, and soon the challenges and story become more intense. Unlike many games that save their best moments for the end, In Sound Mind maintains a solid balance, delivering mystery, creative puzzles, and genuine psychological horror moments throughout the experience.

Intriguing story: A mix of mystery and psychological horror with twists about conspiracy and guilt.
Unique environments: Each patient’s mind creates a distinct setting, making every chapter feel fresh.
Clever puzzles: The game focuses heavily on puzzle-solving, requiring creative use of items.
Good voice acting.
Comedic reliefs.
Indie development with good quality.
Immersive soundtrack: Music by The Living Tombstone enhances the eerie atmosphere.
Mouse issue: The mouse didn’t turn the view properly, making movement feel stuttery. However, I had no issues playing with a controller.

While not the scariest game out there, its psychological depth, surreal level design, and great puzzles make it a unique experience. In Sound Mind is a great choice for players looking for puzzle-solving with a good dose of horror and an intriguing story, rather than relying solely on cheap jump scares.

Their traumas will haunt you too.

Short, timeless, visually stunning with an amazing soundtrack, and more of an artistic game than anything else.
Thank you "Zignewton", for enhancing the experience. It was absolutely worth it.
