This game has been declining for the past 5 years, even longer if you ask the right person. It's baffling coming back to a game in which I've sunk so many hours and see it lack some great features that it previously had. The game has gotten more clunky, more confusing, and lacks the original spirit that made the game so playable in the past. I can't wrap my head around how every time I come back to this game, it feels like it's becoming a lesser version of its former self. I don't know what path Ubisoft decided to take and why they're maintaining their trajectory, but it hasn't been doing the quality of their game any favors. I highly recommend that new players save their money and find a game better tailored to their tastes, and I still warn any returning players to save the hard drive space.

With hundreds of hours on previous Battlefield games and hearing the hype of the new Battlefield 2042, I was devastated when I heard that the game that was released was unplayable. I figured that I would wait a year to give the developers some time to polish the game and make it a better experience.

They did not.

One year later, I played Battlefield 2042 on a free weekend event. It was the worst FPS experience I've ever had. Between the clunkiness of movement, unrewarding specialist system, and maps too large for their own good, I could not find it in me to enjoy playing this game. I have quite a beefy computer, and seeing the game struggle to keep the game running on the lowest settings imaginable was pathetic.

Everyone knows this game is bad. The players know, the developers know, and the reviewers know. This review is just a drop in the bucket of disappointed fans. There is a reason that the game with a release-day player count of 100,000 players now struggles to maintain 3,000 a day. I don't think this game will ever become close to what we all wish it was.

GTA Online is definitely a grind

If you don't have the time, patience, or temperament, you won't enjoy the game.

You'll probably google the best way to get cash, what cars and apartments to get, what businesses to buy, etc.

And once you get money, you'll have some of the best fun of your life.
