Too many people require brute forcing using the 3 guess system based on the anywhere between obvious context to completely insane leaps in logic context. The first 15-30 people are fun to guess and up until that point, assuming you're lucky enough to not choose to look for the identity and fate of people whose names need to be guessed rather than deduced. OR you can only solve one person's fate by knowing the name of some obscure person who appears only a few times whose name is also needing to be guessed.

I'm sure this is other people's cup of tea, but running around in a clunky, slow game to go to each memory individually on top of the other things is non-sense.

Possible turn around, buffing instead of nerfing!

I personally cannot recommend this game if you are looking for an even remotely similar experience that was provided in the original Subnautica.

First I will go over the pros:

- The UI is much nicer and has a lot of quality of life features the original did not

And that's basically it, sadly. The rest of the pros I could give it are just things that already existed in the original, so I won't give them double credit for a single thing.

The cons:

- For starters the sound design has gone only down-hill since the first. The sea creatures just sound awful and sometimes just comical.

- The tech progression is laughably terrible in this game. The complete lack of any sort of progression locks are nearly non-existent with the exception of some of the alien tech, though even that can be acquired extremely early on. The rewards are either far too easily given, or require far too much effort to get minimal returns.

- The movement... Oh boy the movement in this game is absolutely terrible. They either made you slower or made the world scaled completely wrong in comparison to the player. The seaglide is BARELY faster than swimming. The player's default swim speed feels like you're casually swimming through the ocean like you're some summer diver enjoying a reef instead of trying your best to survive.

- The vehicles. Absolutely terrible. The seatruck, while great on paper, is absolutely awful in practice. The modules are so expensive yet offer practically nothing in return, not to mention acquiring them is a pain in the ass as all of them require several scans of wreckage to unlock. While the general idea was obvious to make it an inbetween of the cyclops and the seamoth, rather than getting the best of both worlds they made what is the worst of both of them.

The seatruck's base speed with no modules is pitiful compared to the seamoth, and fully loaded with modules to make it a usable craft for extended outings makes it so painfully slow you're better off never using it and just making more bases. The modules are also super useless. An entire module is dedicated to having a fabricator that only comes with a tiny amount of storage. The storage modules have barely more than that. You can easily fit four of the large lockers in that module and have over double the storage capacity, but they opted for useless, small, build in storage instead.

The seatruck, fully upgraded, is one of the most unrewarding end-game things there is. The cyclops felt like an extremely powerful and essential mobile operating base as you went deeper in, while the seatruck feels like this annoying necessity who's only purpose is to be a mobile oxygen generator with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ speed and terrible maneuverability.

TL;DR: Below zero is a complete downgrade from Subnautica in every way.

MGSV: TPP is an amazing experience.

To go into further detail, the game mechanics feel balanced and very polished, the gun-play is feels arcade-y and is an absolute blast, the movement controls are sharp and responsive, you have to prepare for missions properly or you will more than likely fail, and the story is enjoyable (even for someone like myself who hasn't played the other metal gear games).

The GMP(in game currency) mechanic is a little bothersome at the start but it's easy AF to get over if you don't blow all of your cash on pointless upgrades, purchases, and only bring what you need out on missions.

Subnautica is an excellent mix of survival, horror, and exploration. The exploration of the game feels completely unforced and entirely up to the player on whether they want to do something or not. The crafting, while at times tedious, is satisfying and not overly complicated thanks to the easy to navigate U.I. and simple resources. The horror element of the game, in my opinion, is the epitome of how a game should scare you, not trying at all. There are no jump-scares around a corner or loud sounds that suddenly play in your ears. All of the terrifying parts that make you want to alt+f4 out of a game and say "f*ck that I'm done" all come from your head, and the dread that builds from the unknown of the world. If you already have a fear of the ocean then that dread and terror is amplified even more.
