Coincidentally, my second favourite fallout game

I really like this game, but I cannot recommend at this time.

Negatives (first):

• There isn't enough content to justify the current price (CDN$ 23.39 at a 10% discount)
  
• Explanation text in "My Club" is confusing/doesn't teach mechanics

Positives:

• Volleyball gameplay feels extremely fun to play
  
• Gameplay is easy to learn
  
• Multiplayer/Co-op players control different characters (four players feels like you're a real team)
  
• "My Club" has a strong foundation and is fun and immersive
  
• Music is exciting

Extra notes:

• I like the inclusion of artificially controlled players play against each other
  
• The art direction is really charming

I liked the first act but wish I could say the same for the second and third.

I put aside the writing because the first act was free. I paid for the second and third acts. The dialogue feels unnatural⁠—conversations sometimes end abruptly and the style is reminiscent of role-play . Serious plot points seem to progress to fast. Act three spoilers: One example is when Penelope gets caught hacking into the school's admissions. The dean and the teacher Mr. Lee give in really easily while the other is a joke. They are willing to change the punishment for a (subjectively) poorly written speech from the player. This is even before we learn Penelope was secretly helped by school staff. .

However, these reasons aren't what put me off of this game series. Act three spoilers: A new character named Charli gets introduced. Charli is a friendly guy and is nice to everyone, but the player becomes antagonistic against him. The player character complains that Charli came out of nowhere and it's true. He's introduced suddenly in one scene and in the next we already supposed to not like him. It's revealed that Charli is homosexual and the player character's worries were unfounded, but the they're still on bad terms.

TL;DR: The player character becomes insufferable regardless of choice. The writing is not as strong as hoped, but the game is free now so it comes with the territory. Reviews on the sequels share similar opinions.

I have had a lot of playing this game with friends! :)
However sometimes the bots absolutely destroy us in the jump/duck minigame

I recommend this game only for longtime fans of the Mount and Blade series. If you are not, then you may want to wait until it finishes it's early access run. You can still buy it though.

Some things off the top of my head:

• A lot of the perks don't seem to work
  
• While I haven't seen many bugs, the team over at TaleWorlds have been working hard to remove existing ones
  
• Many NPC characters look very similar, but overall, the graphics has improved greatly since With Fire and Sword
  
• I rarely have seen cavalry get stuck on walls or trees, which was common in Warband so that's pretty cool!

Game good, some parts not in game though, improvement BIG! :)
