Loved it. The longest LAD game thus far with tons of content, a great story, and the Hawaii setting is a really nice change-up. The mini-games are all a blast to play, almost such that the regular side-missions pale in comparison. I don't really feel like going into big detail about all of what I liked because it's a lot.

What I didn't like:
Drink Links and some discussions between characters can really, really drag on. Like, at Metal Gear Solid speed. Made worse if you're playing in Japanese because it will take all of your attention to understand what's going on.

The game could probably do with a level-scaling system rather than subjecting certain zones to being higher or lower difficulty. Some moves that you can share to other jobs are also just way too OP, like the BBQ and Burning Arrow for the guys.

The English dub is so bad, and it doesn't matter if you're on the Japanese version because you're going to hear some english speaking enemies say the dumbest stuff in cutscenes and ingame. SEGA's translation team in general ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up beyond measure with Kiryu's VA, and there's a few cases of the subtitles having a wrong word here and there.

The Nvidia DLSS is the best option for anti-aliasing and it runs very well, unfortunately whatever version they used has AWFUL ghosting that was never in prior games. There's a few bugs here and there that are annoying but not game-breaking.

I can live with NG+ locked behind a paywall because I rarely play them anyway, and Premium Adventure is still in the game. You can also download mods from Nexus that restore the DLC locked outfits and adds some new ones.

Despite those little issues it's probably my GOTY, and it's only February. It's rarely, if EVER I buy a game at full price and it was well worth it.

This is a reminder to all raiders, read closely, if we see ANYONE playing LOST ARK we will take that as your resignation from the FC and you will be removed from Discord and the Guildwork page.

You are here to raid and play the Critically Acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy XIV - we will NOT tolerate our raiders playing other MMOs, we will also assume if you post out during the first few months of LOST ARK that you are playing it behind our backs and will be swiftly removed.

This is NOT up for debate, any questions or concerns involving this can be brought up to an officer, but again, we will assume you will be leaving us for LOST ARK. If you do bring up any issues with this you will also be removed, so tread CAREFULLY.

Thank you.

Short, but wow was it a fun adventure. Nothing Metro Exodus does is really amazing, but the execution is pretty tight.

The characters are really fleshed out, and a lot of conversations are long and have meaning... You can stay and listen or just go and do the story. Weapon handling feels great and the crafting is simple but not too overbearing.

I like the small maps where you can do what you want, similar to STALKER, and there are enough side quests that develop the world and keep you interested.

My only gripe with Metro Exodus is the recurring theme of Artyom getting knocked out and losing his weapons as a plot device. As well, some environments are really cool but unfortunately become very linear and singular goal oriented.

Play as Japanese John Wick and experience the ULTIMATE male POWER FANTASY.

Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RIPPED and own a dragon tattoo that DOESN'T remind you of REGRET. Beat people up until they APOLOGIZE and offer you MONEY. Go on dates with WOMEN who find you IRRESISTIBLE - and TURN THEM ALL DOWN because you just want to see them become BETTER PEOPLE. Run a Japanese brothel that treats WOMEN with RESPECT and DIGNITY, and eventually earn the TOP SPOT in Japan's Cabaret Grand Prix for NO TOUCH POLICY BROTHELS.

THE GOOD
✔️ Dramatic Story will make you cri
✔️ SSSmokin Combos
✔️ Side-Missions & Mini-Games you will spend more time on than the actual game

THE BAD:
➖ If you aren't a fan of long cutscenes or monologues, this game has A LOT of them
➖ Framerate really suffers when Anti-Aliasing or Super-Sampling are enabled
➖ Dragon Engine is very much an improvement, but it's physics are WACK

It's not the best game in the world and there are a few jank mechanics, but I've played every entry and this is THE best in the Yakuza series to date. You don't need to play the others in the series to enjoy Kiwami 2. If you liked the story and want more, you can fill in the gaps with 0 and Kiwami 1.

Great cyberpunk story... with unintuitive JRPG gameplay.
I paid one loonie and got 25 hours of gameplay. Ion Storm obviously doesn't exist anymore, so I wouldn't encourage someone to buy it at full price. Anachronox doesn't have much going for it aside from an incredible story and setting.

I can't stress it enough... the writing is very witty and self-aware, contrasting the surprisingly thorough and dark plot.

Ion Storm heavily developed the engine's camera and uses it at every chance they can get through cutscenes and battle sequences. Unfortunately, my biggest gripe is that during fights it can be disorienting and sometimes you cannot see how much damage you've done.

A walkthrough is recommended (like most games from this era) otherwise you will definitely miss the interactions that move the game along and give you better items. If you can get over the fact that the pacing is extremely slow (so much so, the developers patched in a bind that speeds up the gameplay), it's actually a very fun game with classic JRPG elements.

tldr; it's Guardians of the Galaxy: The RPG

If you don't want to buy the game, you can watch a TWO HOUR movie made out of the cutscenes (it won a few machinima awards back in 2002)

Some things in life can't be explained;

Like how at one point a game with toy soldiers struggled to have 12 people concurrently playing, to years later having several, full 40 person servers.

When I was 18... 18 years old, I saw for the first time in my life...

I saw an image of clarity. I saw a comic strip... a three panel comic strip that, though simple as it seemed, changed me... changed my being, changed who I am... Made me who I am...

Enlightened me...

The strip, Garfield, the comic strip was new... no more than maybe a month and a half since inception, since... since coming into existence... and there it was before me in print, I saw it... a comic strip... What was it called?

Garfield.

The story here is of a man, a plain man. He is Jon, but he is more than that... I will get to this later, but first let us say that he's Jon, a plain man.

And then there is a cat... Garfield.

This is the nature of the world, here. When I see the world, the politics, the future, the... the satellites in space, and... the people who put them there...

You can look at everything as a man and a cat... two beings, in harmony and at war...
So, this strip I saw; this man, Jon, and the cat, Garfield, you see...

Yes... hmm...

It is about everything. This... little comic is, oh, lo and behold... not so little anymore.

So yes, when I was 18, I saw this comic... and it hit me all at once, its power. I clipped it, and every day, I looked at it, and I said "Okay... let me look at this here. What is this doing to me? Why is this so powerful?"

Jon Arbuckle, he sits here, legs crossed... comfortable in his home, and he reads his newspaper... The news of the world, perhaps... and then he extends his fingers lightly, delicately... he taps his fingers on an end table, and he feels for something...

What is it? It is something he needs, but it is not there.

And then he looks up, slightly cockeyed, and he thinks... His newspaper's in his lap now, and he thinks this...

Now where could my pipe be?
