It's something different than your average FPS

Great fun, some Features missing compared to BF4 but its mostly variety stuff like lack of attachments that mostly did the same or theres only one rocket launcher and less weapons, less customisation f.e. HOWEVER. Gameplay wise (at least when you dont play on consoles or at/close to min specs) ill tell you this is the best in the franchise, the in game attachment swap brings nice variety and it makes the gun play feel more alive. The recoil system although alot of people complain about it feels alot more realistic than before. The vehicles are fun although the jets feel a bit useless because they arent really swift, they could use a buff. The sandstorm and the tornado bring a fun addition to gameplay. Water Combat is no longer a thing in bf2042 (as of now) which personally i dont mind but it can be seen as a con, i just felt it was boring in bf4. Oh and the Graphics in this game are just Straight Fire, every explosion every particle falling out of the ground/walls is raytraced and it just looks like u play a war its crazy.
So all in all, if you do not mind a game that has less variety than previous titles and you enjoy fresh gameplay with the key features of battlefield and you have a pretty good pc or at least series x/ps5 (seriously do not try old gen, its utter garbage and a buggy hellhole) you will have fun and i am sure the game will age like fine wine.

9/10 short but fun, speedrunners wet dream

The Story is a little bit short and it has too less weapons, but its a nice game ^^
