Game isn't finished, but it's still the fun city builder that CS1 is and it's definitely an improvement over cs1. I'm not going to recommend it until it's finished/fixed though because when it feels like things don't work properly it's hard to tell if it's because it isn't finished or because I'm doing something wrong. That uncertainty makes playing it frustrating. Like is this an early access game or a full release? No one knows for sure!

Also a lot of the assets have gates around them and you can't extend pedestrian paths from them or to them. On top of that they're empty! A step back and something simple that could have been fixed if it was allowed to finish.

Update:
Economy 2.0 makes the base game worse. If you want to play with unlimited money it's probably best to just do that.

The OG of souls games. I played this on PS3 originally as my first souls game and have beat DS3 and DS2 twice. Coming back to this with updated graphics, a knowledge of the build system and only a little bit of memory from my first play has made this play through like "playing dark souls for the first time" but way way way more fun! Honestly, worth 60 dollars for how much this game rocks! Thanks FromSoft, you ROCK! Can't wait to play through Elden Ring and Sekiro!

I've only just begun maybe about an hour in.

Pacing feels nice, not overwhelming although get into reading mode. Enjoying the visuals, narrative, location, fun creative world building with potential to become more challenging the further I go. So far it feels like my choices have held a lot of weight, which feels good! And I don't feel like I'm going to get soft locked or pulverized for missing a small detail, always a +

I'd recommend it!

Early Access Review
Devs really care about the game and the great amount of detail put into it creates a variety of fun playable experiences. Going to buy a new PC so I can enjoy the full effects of the Cryengine!!!

Wow! I am so taken aback by the intenstiy of the story. This is a game that knows itself very well. The sandbox early-access does no justice to the mood set by the narratives being told within We Happy Few. If you're looking for an eerie, horror game, with survival mechanics then this is 100% the game for you! Can't wait to take my time with this one!
