apparently this became a DLC infested mess since I played it. Wonderful...

Base game is good, but it has way too much DLC for me to recommend anything beyond that. They're charging too much for what used to be free updates.

good game, need to find out how to do the higher difficulties that it told me about though as Beastkin interactions seem quite strong.

enjoying it a lot, definitely watch it on youtube though before you buy to make sure its your type of game, its not a subgenre for everyone.

Yes, it's a hard game. No, that doesn't mean it deserves a negative review, folks.

The game's awesome, and it has a thriving modding community, with the only real con being you have to get the mods off-site because the entire modding scene is community driven and not officially supported.

As long as you're fine with a tough-as-nails game (which you probably are if you're looking at roguelikes!) then this is a wonderful, finely-tuned game that still has a thriving community even a decade later.

Tip: Pausing a lot is highly encouraged if you have trouble keeping up with it. Even some higher-end players sometimes still will pause for a few seconds in encounters if things go haywire!

Not a fan of the game key system, and people will report you for throwing when your corpse gets enchanted into an Admirer or something. I think half the community has short term memory. There's also not enough of a playerbase to regularly form games other than All Any.

BMG needs a way to show which players were Enchanted when the game ends without having to pull up the last game results for it, as it's clearly getting people false reported.

Grew up with Warioland 4 on the GBA in my possession, definitely reminds me of that old game.

Like others have said, its stuck on like 480p or something on a 1440p monitor. I mean, it seems like it might be fun, but it's probably not staying installed long term with this glaring flaw on a game released in almost 2021...

Was part of a humble bundle that I got for a couple other games, this game (deservedly due to bad port) did not influence my decision in the slightest.

It's dead, go follow the devs to Resonite which apparently should be dropping soon. A profile downloader exists for if you need to grab your assets from this before it crashes and burns the rest of the way... Doubt the NEOS servers are going to last for more than a month or so after this mess, TBH, especially when a direct replacement from the original devs is coming out to get away from the drama caused by their former CEO or whatever.
