There is so much to say.
I used to love Overwatch so much.
Then Overwatch 2 came out.
Then I was stuck in a solo q hell due to poor revision of the comp system. Which now has been fixed and is vastly improved, but solo q still rips away at my soul.
Then i saw how they planned to do the battle pass. People got mad there was barely any currency in the pass.....So they added a near meaningless currency, only usable on old OW1 content that now has an artificial price placed upon it. Only good for a few purchases before you gotta fork out real money ( or wait for the cooldown period, do I know what that is? Hell no I dont care that much, i just know it tells me to use real money after i get a dumb ass skin i used to be able to get for leveling up ). Only Blizz could find a way to make loot boxes look amazing.
The heavy advertising of skins in most of their trailers for new seasons and their pass, skins that are not in the pass and are usually tied to the "deluxe" version of the pass, which is about 4x the price, and tho you get more than $40 of value ( according to their definition of value compared to their overpriced content ) and it is the only way you can obtain said advertised content. Fair, capitalism exists, money needs to be made, it is their business after all. But having skins, that take up atleast 60 - 70% of the skins on the Season Pass, that do not have theme at all with the Season, is a pretty crappy way to give "value" to the pass.

Season 1 Theme: Cyberpunk. Winston might be tactical, but that isnt cyberpunk. Sojourn cosplaying rambo ( just cause she is a cyborg, doesnt mean she gets a pass, she had a cyberpunk skin in the shop exclusively for that season ). Junker Queen Beast master cosplay. Pharah in some cool armor, but not cool cyberpunk armor. Cowboy turned park ranger. Dva at EDC. 3 out of 9 skins were on theme. Every single skin in the shop was on theme.

Season 2 Theme: Greek Mythology. What does a Ultraman ripoff skin have to do with that? The Matrix? A Botanist? A rainbow edm robot? British street urchin? Out of the 10 skins in Season Pass 2, 3 out of 10 were on theme. 5 out of 9 shop exclusive skins were on theme. Funniest part is almost every video game media outlet reported as if the exclusives were apart of the pass when it was being hyped. Unless they got paid to mislead, i think that alone proves my point. But lets see if they ever improved.

Season 3 Theme: Japanese Mythology. Black metal version of Junker Queen. Sigma with Galaxy texture. Baptiste wearing ripoff Louis Vuitton. Invisible man Cowboy. Zarya wearing olive drab ( Tactical ). Sombra in what i think is traditional mexican folk wear. 4 out of 10 skins are on theme. 5 out of 9 store exclusive skins were on theme.

This trend continued until this season ( Season 7 ) which had 8 out of 10 skins on theme in the pass. Maybe people finally woke up and realized? They still put alot of skins, especially ones advertised, as shop exclusive. And well...as we established before, capitalism. But atleast the ratio with those that bought the regular pass has been improved.
Comp being a nightmare, the pass being pretty bad until now for some reason. The fact that chat is usually dead unless people are trash talking the other team, or more commonly, their own. VC is almost just as bad, you either get a bunch of people in VC and no one talking at all....or just straight up 360 era multiplayer lobby chat. The community does not have a great reputation...maybe its because everyone else has had their soul ripped out as well? Lack of self awareness from a vast majority of people who play this game? Solo Q comp forcing them to smurf? Who knows, but its widespread among the community. Some sort of emotional herpes that turns everyone into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
But at the end of the day...
I cant put it down.

Help.
