TOG2 is not what I was expecting. I mean that in a good way. From the videos I saw on the TOG discord, I was skeptic. Read a couple of positive reviews and thought, eh, why not. I sure am glad I made this investment.. A 30% off investment since I owned and bundled with TOG1!

It's only been about 30 minutes so far. Enough to do the quick tutorial (which really only covers how to give commands), then jump into Syria and fight against some relic soviet wielding typical black traditional wear bad guys. I lasted about 20 minutes until I walked my squad into an ambush from which we were engaged from a third story rooftop by two snipers. We were able to back into an alleyway while I tried to direct Bravo squad to push to the opposite side to draw their fire. Before I could even click the buttons on the tablet, we were engaged by two RPGs from the rooftop at the end of the alley. The first took out Natalia. The second hit right beside me.

There is some jank, yes. But it's some jank that I have no doubts BlackTale will transform into a terrific game just like they did with the first one.

Update: It's still meh.
