There's so many things that just get in the way of fun. The abilities are fun to use, but running the game solo is impossible, no matter you're skill. Mainly because the devs added 9.0 magnitude earthquakes level of shake to everything you do. And the control scheme just isn't very enjoyable, abilities need to be equipped (Exchanging weapon for ability) rather than activated (Pressing Q or E).
The devs wanted a fast-paced team-based shooter, but made abilities cumbersome to use, and made aiming and decision making difficult with impossible camera shake.

Yeah balancing is meh, but the Sound Effects and Visual Design are really captivating. Each game is going to be different, even if the same tank comes in every game. If you focus on changing your playstyle, you'll adapt quicker and overcome a lot of the balancing faults. Basically, game art good, game balance meh, git gud.

Get it. It's $2 and it has words of hope, at least in my case. it's helped me realize that I shouldnt let others control my thinking or my confidence. I got the Secret Word Blessing. I may not understand the full implications of the secret word fully, but i somehow feel proud to have it. I highly recommend this. The experience changes based on the player, and the words handed to you are different.

This PC port is extremely disappointing. The graphics and soundtrack are great, but the gameplay is subpar. The camera is barely functional, and you cant use the mouse to move the camera, which I believe is an extremely stupid thing to do. The keyboard lends no favors to controlling the blob either. Everything feels floaty, imprecise, and its really difficult to control when you get bigger. The original game is amazing and far better. You're better off on the wii.

This game is absolutely wonderful, from start to finish. It looks beautiful, sounds beautiful, its just ooh it-it-it's sublime. The story is alright, its like every other Devolver Digital game. You can only take 1 hit, and you restart the room when you die. The story seems straight forward and normal, then some weird ♥♥♥♥ happens and things go poo poo aaaahhh. Then it's a lil creepy and scawy, but it all doesnt have a real payoff. It has smooth combat with fantastic enemy placements, sometimes. The characters are a little hit and miss. Some are under developed, while others had more time put into them. Some characters only have a name, like SNOW. I enjoyed the game overall, but in some parts I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ despised it. This game has absurd difficulty spikes throughout the game. You can be mowing down guys room after room, then get stuck for 10-20 minutes on a seemingly impossible section. This happened about 5-6 times though the game, and it brought the experience down for me. I would give it a 9/10, but those absurd difficulty spikes were annoying and brought the overall experience down to a 8/10. On the dunkey scale, this a 4/5.

Before the remaster, it was just a grind fest of "New enemy type in this area, go kill this many" and it recycled each time there was a new area for you to explore. I cant say for after however, but it seems wildly improved from what i have heard. Besides that the sound design and combat is amazing. It's fluid, yet bombastic.
