Been playing this irresponsibly long into the mornings. So yeah, I'd say it's good.

Like Dwarf Fortress but you can actually play it.

So you know how late game Rimworld has a few Glitterworld items, and... that's it? This isn't just a late game DLC, but it definitely feels like it's a lot more fleshed out, with more big and little goals to work towards.

Also, it feels kind of awesome to host a knight or whatever for a while and get paid for their stay.

After playing this game off and on for years, I can definitively say this is one of my favourites. Even after you know what to do and start to recognise the events that pop up - usually the point where a game starts to feel "samey" - the gameplay itself continues to hold its own. Particularly if you're willing to roleplay your empire, rather than just minmaxing your stats.

The base game is solid on its own, but the DLC turns "good" into "great." Some of the DLCs are better than others, but I haven't regretted buying any of them.

Exactly what it says on the tin, Fallout 4 in VR. But while it's a pretty great experience, the control scheme really breaks immersion. If you miss any of the tutorial pop-ups, you'll be left fiddling with all your controller buttons to do anything. The pipboy can be hard to deal with all on its own.

You also don't actually grab anything, just having a pointer that works exactly like the pancake crosshairs. Point and click to "grab". It would be nice if you could actually reach down and grab things with the whole controller, like a set of hands.

The two handed weapons are all one handed ingame. While this is convenient for those of us without a rifle mount for our controllers, it's still kind of awkward that you can, say, wave a minigun around like a toy. That should really need two hands to operate.

Oh, and reloading is a one button event as well, with the same animations as pancake edition. No manual operation required... despite the animations implying a bunch of manual operation.

At least being in power armour feels suitably powerful?

Overall I'd give this a 10/10 as a game - my same opinion of Fallout 4 Pancake - but it sort of flops as a pure VR experience, only getting a 4/10 from me. The whole "being in the wasteland" and "VR shooting gallery" bits are great, but every other part of the implementation really takes you out of the experience.

This is only getting my recommendation because, despite the failings in VR, it's still the longest and most complete VR experience to date, alongside Skyrim VR.
