Penrolz's Note: After playing and modding the game for 1712 hours, I decided to write an extensive review. While Garry's Mod is an entertaining game on its own, playing with friends makes it even more fun. The tools offered are suitable for modding work; these include the Hammer editor (which maps), Glua (which requires programming knowledge in Lua), Source engine (which transfers models), and Materials/Textures (VTFEdit). However, the tools powered by Source Engine, particularly the Hammer editor and model transfer, are a little glitchy (.QC problems)), and not even compatible with GNU/Linux, which explains why Garry's Mod's modding functionality isn't as good as it could be. But if you resolve all of its problems and comprehend the source engine, you may mod things a lot more faster and without struggling. I am aware that there is still much to review about the game, but as it is a Sandbox with a large modding community, there is no end to the things that may be discussed. As such, I can only go over the most important aspects of Garry's Mod.
