It's 2018, I bought this game shortly after launch back in 2015 and I've got to say that no RPG to date has presented as fantastic a modern RPG experience as The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Presenting a great main story packed with excellent characters this game also contains some of the greatest sidequests ever placed in a videogame that even occasionally add more depth to the main narrative through deeper exploration of the core characters and themes and sometimes you explore the deadly home of a cheese wizard, or uncover the mystery of a giant walking cat that's been robbing merchants or regularly battle a foolish "knight" who never realizes how close he is to death.
