I love this game, would like to play much more. But sadly, I have to give a negative recommendation.

The game itself is amazing, and one of best 4k strategy games I have played. It has all traits and great tools to create own story with race. The gameplay for space battles is bit funky, but you'll get used to it. Sadly, I have to give "no" for recommendation since, once I enter the late game the game blue screens my PC. I have 32Gt RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GPU and Intel Core i5 CPU with tons of memory left, I am sure my PC isn't the problem. I have tried to lowering graphics and changes settings, but so far nothing has helped. I will keep playing this game no matter what, I love it too much. But if you are going to buy it be wary of the blue screen.

2025 Update.

I still have same PC and the game managed to work fine via paradox launcher. After the DLC Overlords I could no longer get DLCs in Paradox launcher, so I had to move steam. Last time I played Stellaris was 2024 November without troubles. Now 2025 I can no longer open the game. Nothing has changed from my part, the game does not start via Paradox Launcher. It claims an unexpected crash, and 'recommends' me to install C++.
Along the years this game has had too much technical issues, and they still continue popping up. I can't recommend this game
