Do you know Cheat Engine? If you don't, it's a number editor. You can edit numbers of things in games. I wanted to know if this was possible in Rust, I wasn't going to use this for real, as I do not hack and I'm against hackers. I tried to edit the amount of ammo left of my pistol. It didn't work. So I closed the game and played an other game. The next day one of my friends told me I had a vac ban. Very disappointing, but you could say 'deserved' as I was actually attempting to cheat. It was only an experiment to see if it actually works in a multiplayer game (I've played Rust for a long time with no hacks, I've also never hacked before in other games except for some singleplayer games with cheat engine (bloons tower defense)), but this experiment has had lead to a vac ban. There's nothing I can do about it, I hope you don't think I hack, because I do not, and I will never be hacking in any multiplayer games.
