starts of strong but it felt a bit eh at the end. great world building.

I was going to leave a very mean review but then i remembered that the ones who made this game are real people with real feelings, just like us, and i dont want to hurt said feelings.
Sunday gold is like a point and click Persona 5 without the Personas or the dating sim (or the cool, smooth menus), you lead a band of jazzy criminals who go against the rich in a jazzy-comic themed adventure.
The point and click part is aight. nothing crazy. The first puzzles where kind of basic, idk for the later ones (quit game after 2 hours).
the combat is meh. it takes some things from P5 but fails to do cool stuff with it. not the worst ive seen
i like the composture quick time events
i despise the minigames. they are REALLY basic, please if you plan on making similar things in the future, either make really cool minigames or no minigames at all. felt like i was playing club penguin spy minigames.
some desing choises are terrible. why do characters have separate inventories?? realism? doesnt make any sense at all
the story so far was very generic and the characters felt flat. not the worst ive seen either.
there are some other things that bothered me like the use of and AP system for the point and click part (i get that its for the time managment/alert meter thing but its just not fun really) but i played so little i dont think im allowed to diss the game more
its not BAD its just eh
i give it 4 pints out of the 10 minutes of trying to write 17/10/30 in different ways (that puzzle is its own issue)

i heard about this game at the game awards of 2019, where they won 4 awards against games like Control, Death Stranding and Final Fantasy
i said what the heck and bought it (idk if it was that same day but you get me)
I played it and reached day 3. i thought "what a neat game" and stop playing because of my studies
i came back months later and decided to do a fresh new run

words fail me at this point. there so much i want to say but i think ill end it with this:

this is a game whose story makes sense (and is good), where the characters feel real (and are likeable) and the choices weight on your shoulders (and actually matter!)
this game wasnt made by some big name studio, it was made by people who like making games
this game got a full DLC for free, in a world where 60$ games get tons of paid DLCs

i love this game
so much that just writing this is making me a little emotional
i beg you to try it out and recomend it to everyone you know

my only complain is the ghost enemy. whomever designed that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creature can suck my ♥♥♥♥
also the paintings in the mansion are unsetling as ♥♥♥♥
worth the buy

ill give it 8 and a half lauventums out of how many times i died against the ghosts

ill never be the same after doing the car dealership in deathwish

10/10 i would shout slurs to my friends again
